The Fashion People in London, Copenhagen, and Paris Love These Flat Shoe Styles

Flat shoe styles continue to reign supreme among the fashion set this season, and I couldn't be happier. As someone who can't handle wearing heels except for the occasional car-to-the-dinner-seat situation, this particular shoe trend is a true blessing. If you're looking to add a great pair of flats to your current rotation, there's no better time than now. Not only are there endless options available to shop, but endless styling inspiration also abounds.
Three cities I often look to for inspiration are London, Copenhagen, and Paris. I took a quick scroll through my Insta follows in those European cities with flat shoes in mind, and I came up with some incredibly cool outfit ideas for how to wear a variety of options. From simple ballet flats to edgy boots and trendy Mary Janes, I found five flat shoe styles that fashion people in each respective city are reaching for this season. Keep scrolling to shop my top picks and peruse chic outfit inspiration for each style.
Mary Janes
Mary Janes have made a comeback this season, and they are sleeker and cooler than ever. Whether it's a classic style or a standout option in a variety of textures and embellishments, these flats are guaranteed to elevate any look—just look at the inspiration below.
Moto Boots
Ever since Miu Miu's moto boots debuted on the F/W 21 runway, the fashion crowd has been hooked on the style. This season, there are a plethora of cool options available at a variety of price points. Pair them with everything from maxi coats to leather jackets to slip skirts.
Adidas Sneakers
Adidas sneakers making the list should come as no surprise, as the brand and its covetable kicks have been trending for many seasons now. The Samba and Gazelle styles alone are constantly selling out across the globe since they give any ensemble an instant cool factor.
Ballet Flats
There is a reason why ballet flats never seem to go out of style. They are undeniably chic and incredibly comfortable to boot. With a plethora of fashion-forward picks and endless classic shapes available, these flats easily fit in with a variety of personal styles.
I have a feeling we are about to see the Tabi ballet flats more than ever.
Like I said, distressed leather is trending.
Loafers
Loafers are another mainstay in the closets of the most fashionable people, but this season, they feel even more prominent than ever, especially in black. One major draw is that the easy flats offer infinite styling possibilities.
