24 Luxe Gifts Every Fashion Editor Dreams of Receiving This Year
So you've decided you want to include a luxury item (or two or three) on your holiday wish list this year, but you're not quite sure which one. Well, you've come to the right place. After spending hours scrolling, hearting, and curating, I've found the best designer items that deserve a spot on your list. Whether you want something that speaks to the quiet-luxury aesthetic, a new shiny accessory, something ultra on-trend, or a cozy essential you'll wear this winter, here's every fashion editor–approved gift to consider. And not to make this all about me, but I'd be happy with any one of these items.
You're probably quite familiar with the quiet-luxury trend by now, and maybe you're emulating it on a regular basis. Adding a new ultra-luxe, logo-free item into the mix is never a bad idea, and I've got some pretty stunning suggestions. In the world of accessories, a sleek pair of cat-eye sunglasses, neutral sneakers, an oversize tote (how stunning is this green suede bag from Khaite?), or a belt with unique hardware are my top picks. As for apparel, you can't go wrong with a cashmere knit or a perfectly fitting blazer that you'll have for life.
Nothing gets me in the holiday spirit like a little sparkle. A metallic accessory like pointed-toe pumps or a mini bag will instantly add that holiday feel to any day or night outfit. And for some serious shine, there's no gift more luxe than a watch or jewelry piece from Bulgari.
I love buying a few trendy items each season to add some fresh energy to my everyday wardrobe. Feather-trim sweaters, studded ballet flats, knee-high kitten-heel boots, and anything in red are just a few to consider this holiday season. Or opt for one of the It items that all the fashion people are wearing, like this Gucci bag or the Celine Triomphe sunglasses.
In the winter months, my outfit motto is the cozier the fabric the better. That's why I love the idea of gifting a shearling, mohair, or faux-fur fashion item. From fuzzy flats to a jacket that has a built-in scarf (genius, right?), these pieces are sure to keep you warm and on-trend this season.
