I'm Always Sending My Friends Outfit Inspo—6 Looks That Are Next-Level Chic
As the resident editor in my friend group I am considered my friends go-to person for all things fashion / style related. Now that it’s fall everyone is ready to turn it up a notch when it comes to dressing, and my group chat has been buzzing with inspo imagery and styling related questions. I thought to myself what better time to make an outfit guide of easy to wear looks that are also super chic. I found 6 looks that span across all of the categories I’m shopping for at the moment: office day looks, dinner date outfits, night out outfits, and weekend wear.
These 6 outfits we’re such a hit with my friends I knew I had to share them with the rest of you, keep scrolling to see which outfits I’m recreating ASAP.
Ballet flats + vest top + jeans
Ballet flats are having a major moment right now and every fashion person I know is getting their hands hands on a new pair. Adding a leopard print ballet flat takes this look to the next level, what would otherwise be just a knit top and jeans is now a dreamy fall look. This is the type of outfit I'm reaching for during an office day. It's that ideal combination of classic, stylish, and put together.
Shop the look:
Column skirt + leather belt + loafers + crop knit
Now this outfit is a little outside of my comfort zone but I'm a big fan. Column skirts have been all over the runways and my instagram feed lately so I have been looking for fresh new ways to style them and stopped dead in my tracks. The cropped argyle sweater and loafers give this outfit that back to school feel that I always like for fall. The sunglasses and casual nature of a crop top add a cool factor. I'll be recreating this outfit ASAP.
Shop the look:
Button down + wide leg pant + Boston clog
I'm filing this look under go-to weekday outfits. I have been a fan of Boston Clog Birkenstocks for years now and have been seeing fashion people warm up to them more and more over the years, espeically 2022. Now that we're offically in closed-toe shoe season in 2023 it's clear to see that Boston Clogs are still reigning supreme. Adding a button down and a wide leg trouser dresses these otherwise low key shoe up a bit. You'll be seeing me wearing this look all over New York.
Shop the look:
Trench coat + Crew neck sweater + leather belt + jeans + ballet flats
If your vibe is polished, elevated, and lowkey then this outfit is for you. A trench coat is a must have piece of outerwear if you ask me, espeically for the fall months. The good thing about this look is that the jacket does most of work, you just need to grab your favorite crew neck sweater (cashmere preferably), a pair of straight leg denim, a leather belt, and ballet flats and you instantly look like a chic fashion person on a coffee break in London. The gold jewelry is cherry on top.
Shop the look:
Mini skirt + pointed toe mules + lace top
You didn't really think I would do an outfit story without including a good night out / date night look, did you? I'm all about a good mini skirt outfit for fall, and adding a lace top and heeled mule make this outfit a little extra saucy. If you're going for a night out with friends or a dinner date I highly encourage you to give this look a try.
Shop the look:
Jacket + straight leg jeans + shoulder bag + flats
Calling all my quiet luxury fans this outfit is for you. It doesn't really get more "old money" than a boucle jacket. Plus they're so easy to style, but I for one prefer to pair them with denim and a flat shoe as you see styled above. This look works for a brunch day or an office day, and let's be honest it's not common I find an outfit that can nail both those occasions. I'm definitely bookmarking this outfit for when I'm looking for an elevated but casual vibe.
