The New Wave of It Shoe Brands
Warning: The following will cause a mini shopping spree. We’re all about sharing our favorite fashion finds, whether it’s the $10 earrings that look triple the price, the sneaky shopping section on Zara, or today’s topic highlighting the newest wave of footwear brands currently on our radar. Ranging from brands that debuted less than a year ago to a celebrity-favored line that recently announced its expansion into the footwear category, we’re equally excited and eager to add pieces from each selection of new shoe brands.
The easiest way to get to know a brand is by hopping on its IG page, so below, we’re sharing a few of our favorite photos from five accounts so you can get a sense of why we think everyone should know about these shoe brands. We’ve included a mix of styles so that there’s a new brand for everyone to discover. For example, if your focus is stocking up on statement heels, scroll to Amina Muaddi and meet her lovely designs, or if you’re looking for something to fit your minimalistic personal style, meet Neous, a brand with the freshest simple yet detailed designs. Those are just two of the handful we suggest getting to know this year. Meet the next wave of It shoe brands below.
Amina Muaddi
My obsession with Amina Muaddi’s collection is out of this world. I push and introduce the brand to my friends whenever I get the chance. I’ve truly never related to the aesthetic of a footwear brand more than I have with Amina's designs. From the killer over-the-knee boots you’d have to wear with the teeniest dress to crystal-embellished black heels I’d wear with vintage jeans and a simple tee, the European shoe designer can do no wrong in my eyes.
Neous
The designer behind Neous built a cult following through shoe designs that are inspired by midcentury-modern architecture and clean, minimal lines. As you can see below, the heel shapes are always unexpected and truly a work of art.
By Far
By Far has been around since 2016 but picked up major recognition over the past year. I included it in our new-wave list because the steam is nowhere near slowing down for the Euro-based brand. Below, you can shop the signature two-strap block heels and one of the brand’s newest styles, Libra.
Brandblack
The founder of Brandblack, David Raysse, has a background in design from brands like Adidas and Fila, so he’s no stranger to the world of streetwear. Net-a-Porter just picked up his collection of sneakers, so we have a feeling this is going to be quite an exciting year for his line.
Simon Miller
Simon Miller, which debuted as a menswear denim line, has expanded to womenswear, and as of an announcement last week, the brand will be expanding even further with footwear launching on February 15. Based on the one photo released, the designs are sure to be just as covetable as the clothing.
Up next, shop the eight designer bags to tell all your friends about.
