5 Top-and-Pants Outfits That Will Have You Putting Your Dresses in Storage
While I rarely wear pants, pairing a dress with sandals has felt boring to me lately. I think it's time I challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone and embrace wearing pants. Because I'm rather short, I usually avoid pants like the plague. But lately, I've seen so many chic ways to style pants outfits that I decided it was time to get over my fear and head to a tailor. After digging through Instagram for all the outfit inspiration I could find, I found five looks that rose above the rest. Keep scrolling to see the outfits I found and shop the pieces needed to help you re-create them.
Blazer + Striped Pants + Simple Top
Pajama-style striped linen or cotton pants are everywhere, and I couldn't be happier. Talk about comfortable and chic—they have a laid-back California vibe I'm here for. Add a blazer to dress it up a bit.
Button-Down + Belt + High-Waisted Denim
A classic poplin shirt paired with high-waisted jeans is simple yet chic. It really has that Meredith Blake vibe that Gen Z can't get enough of. This is the perfect summer-to-fall transition look.
Fitted Top + Cargo Pants + Statement Earrings
This is the go-to outfit for cool girls headed for a night out. Good cargo pants never really go out of style, and I love how the loose fit of these pants contrasts with a fitted top. It's an outfit that's perfect for the weekend.
Black Top + White Pants
I'm obsessed with black and white outfits. There is something so Parisian and chic about them, and I definitely get a quiet-luxury vibe from them as well. If you're looking for an elevated and easy outfit, this one is for you.
Matching pants set
If you know me, you know I absolutely adore a two-piece set. This is my favorite way to wear pants. Whether you're headed to a night out, dinner party, brunch, or event, this look never fails.
