My Friend Asked for a List of My Favorite Stores—I Shop These Places the Most
I'm essentially the style resource in my friend group given my job as a fashion editor. I have a group chat with those in my crew where sartorial tips and questions come up. One of my friends recently asked for a few trendy spring items I'm into right now and then followed up by simply asking for a list of my favorite stores for her to browse.
I sent over seven of the stores and websites that are currently at the top of my bookmarks bar for when I'm shopping for myself and when I'm sourcing cool pieces to recommend across my stories. Below, you'll find more intel on the places I'm shopping the most right now. If you're interested in a bit of shopping inspiration as well, I made sure to include edits of the items I'm loving most at each of the retailers in question.
Keep scrolling for more shopping intel, and check out pieces that could become new staples in your wardrobe.
Nordstrom
Nordstrom basically always tops my list of go-to stores. I always find whatever I'm looking for when it comes to my own wardrobe, and there's consistently a slew of standout finds that are front-runners in my stories. Some of my favorite brands Nordstrom carries right now include Open Edit, Treasure & Bond, and Levi's.
Anine Bing
I've been a fan of Anine Bing's line of cool, chic staples for years. If someone asks me for a recommendation of a quality piece that could become a wardrobe go-to, something from Anine Bing always makes the cut. I personally wear the sweatshirts, tees, and oversize knits.
J.Crew
J.Crew is so good at the moment with Olympia Gayot at the helm. I always enjoy putting together edits of my favorite new J.Crew items because there are always so many A+ pieces, from gorgeous tailoring to delicious cashmere to fun footwear selects.
Italist
If I'm looking to browse designer items or want to invest in something for myself that has a high cost per wear, Italist is one of the key stores I turn to. The pricing is so great because the prices are actually at the local Italian price. You can literally save up to 50% on new collections.
Shopbop
Shopbop is another multi-brand retailer that will always be essential. The retailer drops a huge number of new items every week, and there are so many coveted brands on offer that fit within various budgets.
H&M
Of course, H&M made it onto my list! It's the go-to for items that are on-trend and look expensive but skew on the more affordable side.
Alex Mill
This NYC-based label is an amazing option for those elevated basics that are beyond versatile. Actually, I recently wrote about the spring items that will be new staples in my own wardrobe.
