As boring as it sounds, there aren't many of us who could live, sartorially speaking, without our favourite jeans. They're the easiest thing to grab and go, whether you're meeting friends for brunch at the weekend or getting a little dressy for date night. Arguably one of the most democratising items of clothing, jeans can be found at every price point and in every cut, colour and finish you could imagine. On the high street, Arket, & Other Stories and Weekday are universally considered the crème de la crème of denim by fashion editors, who prize them for both their variety and purse-friendly price points. Of course, we find that jeans shopping is one of those deeply personal things, so you can't be too prescriptive, but these three brands have a pretty high shopping success rate in our experience.

Right now, I'm enjoying both a slouchy straight-leg fit and the odd white jeans (inspired by Alexa Chung, of course). I find that Arket's are particularly good for both of these categories, while Weekday should be your go-to for wide-leg fits and & Other Stories for fun flares and chic skinnies.
