30 Life-Changing Fashion, Beauty, and Home Items I Discovered This Fall
I feel a bit like a broken record when I say this but as an editor, I basically shop all day for a living. And while the majority of that shopping is obviously for the many stories I write, I also inevitably find things for myself along the way. My finds this fall have been particularly great and I thought it'd be fun to share them with you in case you're looking for gifts or cool things for your own life.
For the purpose of organization, I've broken my special fall finds (many of which can be used during the winter and year-round) down into the categories of fashion, beauty, and home. Some are very useful and some are just for fun. Either way, they come highly recommended by yours truly (and I'm admittedly picky).
Scroll on for my favorite random finds as of late. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
FASHION
Comfortable, festive, and affordable—what more could you ask for?
I ordered this dress in another (now sold-out) color and it looks super expensive.
These are the perfect everyday hoops—not too big and not too small with just enough sparkle.
Is it just me or is everyone suddenly talking about Sheertex? I was quickly convinced to try them and it's true—they're basically indestructible (and quite comfortable for tights).
After seeing this chic cardigan all over Instagram I had to try it for myself. It's supremely soft and there are multiple ways to style it, so I'm not surprised that it keeps selling out.
Some would consider ordering eyeglasses online without ever trying them on to be chaos, but this pair worked out beautifully for me. I'm convinced that they'd look good on just about anyone.
If you saw this in person you wouldn't believe it didn't cost $1k.
As someone who is pretty particular about socks, don't take it lightly when I say that these are perfect. They're not too thick and not too thin and they're as good with loafers or Mary Janes as they are sneakers.
BEAUTY
If you want to effortlessly achieve the "I'm cold" beauty trend, order this.
This smokey nude feels like a glossy balm but somehow stays on for hours.
I was initially skeptical about this powder and whether or not the price was justifiable but let me tell you—it is. It keeps shine away for hours upon hours and looks incredibly natural. Best powder I've ever tried, hands down.
How pretty is this palette (both inside and out)? It's no surprise that it's sold out practically everywhere. Each shade is incredibly wearable.
This is one of my favorite sets of the season. The value is great and it's the perfect intro to a beauty brand that I guarantee you'll soon be obsessed with.
I've been using Dior Addict Lip Glow for years but nothing compares to this gorgeous limited-edition shade. It's perfect for day or night is very much like-your-lips-but better.
U Beauty never disappoints and this new cleaner is no exception. It's a great one for winter as it protects the skin's barrier and is packed with hyaluronic acid.
I'm a Baby Feet devotee but you're not supposed to do it all that often, so I ordered this for in-between foot smoothing. And trust me—it works. It makes my feet look like they spent the morning at the nail salon.
There's no better way to achieve the whole "I'm cold" beauty trend than with this blush.
This is basically a glow in a bottle. I swipe it on after washing my face and my complexion is miraculously bright all day.
HOME
I'm a little late to the party as this candle has been a winter favorite for years but I've added myself to the fan club. The smokey vanilla scent is so good that I wish I had one in every room.
I'm planning on getting more organized in the new year and would like for these chic bins to help me do it.
If you have a pet, this is a very chic way to store their food.
Speaking of coffee, my sister-in-law just clued me into single-use pour-over pods, and I think they easily qualify as life-changing.
You can try to find a chicer watering can, but you probably won't succeed.
One of my pet peeves in life is waiting for skincare and makeup to dry before applying the next layer. Now the waiting time is greatly reduced with this little fan.
This little carafe does it all—makes cold brew, infuses water and spirits, and aerates wine. It would make a great gift but I'd be tempted just to gift it to myself.
Oftentimes blankets are either chic or cozy—this one is both.
