These Are the Best Blazers Ever, According to Our Editors
As an avid blazer connoisseur, I can attest to how difficult it is to find one that feels just right—one that has the perfect amount of structure yet is comfortable, one that is boxy but not too oversize, and one that looks expensive regardless of the actual price. When a blazer doesn't fit the way you want it to, it'll just end up sitting in the back of your closet with no use. What tends to happen when you're looking for the "perfect" version of something is that you end up buying lots of imperfect versions of it, leaving you unsatisfied. That ends today.
I decided to reach out to my co-workers for the best brands to purchase a blazer from since we collectively we test out dozens of brands and know which ones are worth the buy. From investment-worthy designs to some cult-classic affordable brands, the picks ahead are our editors' all-time favorites. You'll find your new blazer here.
Toteme
"One of the best blazers in my closet, hands down, is from Toteme. It's an oversize yet perfectly structured shape called the Loreo and the kind of piece that elevates anything else I wear it with. The brand is well-known for its trendless tailoring, and this blazer is the definition of a forever piece." — Anna LaPlaca, Editor
Aritzia
"I'm really picky about blazers, but I've never met an Aritzia one I didn't love. My go-to is the Generation Blazer, which is oversize without being too oversize. It's the perfect weight to wear as a jacket in the fall and spring." — Ally Payer, Senior Editor
Zara
"Zara's blazer selection is top-notch. I've always had success with its relaxed silhouettes that tend to look way more expensive than their price tag. I'm excited to try fitted, nipped-in silhouettes this season." — Judith Jones, Senior Market Editor
Djerf Avenue
"The other night, I was raving to a fellow editor about how much I love the effortless blazer from Djerf Avenue. I have it in multiple colorways and adore the way that it looks with jeans and a basic top. A lot of blazers these days are too oversize for me, but this one fits just right." — Sierra Mayhew, Associate Editor
Ganni
"Ganni's selection of blazers is highly underrated. You probably already know and love Ganni's leopard dresses and buckled shoes, but don't overlook the cult Scandi brand's jackets. I particularly love wearing them to the office with a simple pair of jeans and a white tee." — Erin Fitzpatrick, Associate Director, Fashion News
The Frankie Shop
"I've never met a fashion person who doesn't own something from The Frankie Shop, and the purchase is almost always a blazer. The brand is known for its oversize and boxy cuts but still innovates with details like asymmetrical lapels and nipped-in waists. If you want a blazer that just oozes cool, The Frankie Shop is your destination." — Yusra Siddiqui, Associate Editor
