Yep, I'll Be Wearing These Jeans From Now Until 2020
There's no denying that baggy jeans are trending hard right now. Among the many '90s throwback styles flooding the scene, I think it's safe to say that the looser-fitting jeans are the number one denim trend of the season, if not the whole year. So naturally, being the trend-driven dresser and guinea pig fashion journalist that I am (I'll admittedly try anything for a story), I had to test out the jeans for myself.
After trying three different "baggy" jeans and feeling frustrated each time by the totally unflattering look of each, I nearly called off the search and resigned myself to never landing on the perfect pair. That is until I slipped into a pair of Agolde's popular Mid Rise '90s Loose Fit Jeans. With just enough room throughout the leg, they still had a structured fit to them, more like a roomier straight leg and less of the literal '90s hip-hop music video variety. That, plus they're made from non-stretch, 100% cotton, so they didn't sneakily stretch way out like some of the others I initially tried.
Now that I've found "the ones," you can be sure that I plan to wear them throughout the rest of the year and well beyond. Yep, they're that good. To prove to you just how much wear I'm getting out of them, I'm about to show you three outfit combinations I'm wearing on repeat with the jeans. To see my outfits, more ways fashion girls are wearing them, and shop them in all their glory, simply keep scrolling.
My go-to way to style them is with a cool tee, and I usually add a bit of height via heels or platform shoes so the jeans don't swallow me whole.
For a day in the office, I added a bit of structure via a boxy linen blazer and finished it off with sleek croc-effect kitten heels—a classic Who What Wear editor outfit combination.
Also available in more sizes.
On my way to an after-work event, I simply ditched my blazer, swapped my shoes for a more evening-appropriate PVC pair, and picked up a mini bag. Since the jeans have a roomier fit, I like opting for something super fitted up top to balance it out.
