I'm a Beauty Editor, and These Are All the Products I'm Eyeing Up for Autumn
As a junior beauty editor, I'm always hearing about the latest beauty launches and the most popular products on the market. I love finding out what skincare, makeup and haircare products people are loving, and not just because it's my job. That being said, being surrounded by beauty products all the time often means that I'm left wanting to try out all of them for myself.
This is especially true at the start of a new season—I love a good skincare refresh when spring comes along, and I always switch up my makeup routine for summer. However, with autumn just around the corner, lots of my favourite brands have already started releasing exciting new beauty bits, and some of my go-to products for the colder months are in need of a serious restock.
Autumn is my favourite time for getting cosy and indulging in some self-care, and I've been neglecting my beauty routine of late because summer is always such a busy time. But this September I plan on staying in and giving myself several much-needed pamper sessions. If you're the same then you might want to keep on scrolling, as I've rounded up all of the products that I've got my eyes on to try this autumn.
This is more of a wish list than a shopping list, as I definitely won't be buying all of these, but if I do end up treating myself to one or two bits, these are my most-wanted products.
A Beauty Editor's Autumn Wishlist:
First up is an absolute classic. I can never have enough candles in autumn, and I always like to have this Maison Margiela one burning. The scent is called By The Fireplace and it will give you all of the cosy vibes thanks to notes of chestnut, clove and cashmere.
When it gets a little bit colder, I like to invest in good quality bedding, and this silk pillowcase will make going to sleep so much more luxurious. Not only is it the most comfortable pillowcase ever, but I swear by the silk material for keeping my hair smooth and my skin soft.

I never take baths in summer, but in autumn, I can't get enough of them. I plan on treating myself to this Beauty Pie bath oil, which harnesses a range of essential oils including lavender to chamomile to help you feel relaxed and restful.
Did you know that Prada has just launched a beauty line? I'm lusting over pretty much everything, but this bold red lipstick is first on my list.
I've been seeing these high-tech skincare devices everywhere lately, and I just know that one of these will take my self-care nights to the next level. This clever tool from Ziip works to tone your skin and stimulate collagen, and after watching some video reviews, it looks really fun to use.
Another new launch that I've got my eye on for autumn is this Summer Fridays Rich Cushion Cream. I love all the skincare products from this brand, and this new moisturiser is meant to support your skin's barrier, which is ideal as we move into the new season.
Perfume bottles don't get much chicer than this, and this Byredo scent just screams autumn, with its notes of plum, praline, blackberry and leather. I just want to wrap myself up in a cosy jumper and spritz this everywhere.
I've recently moved house, and if there's one thing I'm in the market for at the moment, it's a new diffuser. This one from Nest will transport you to an autumnal outdoor getaway, with refreshing notes of earthy moss and vetiver.
Seaweed beauty products are having a moment thanks to the marine plant's hydrating properties, and it's safe to say that I'm intrigued. So, when I saw that Bumble and Bumble did a seaweed leave-in conditioner, I wanted to give it a go straight away. My hair always gets a little bit drier whenever the temperature drops, so this moisturising styling cream is a must-have.
It's just not my hair that gets dry, but my skin too. I like to wear a light, hydrating base all year round, but I really want to give the Hourglass Skin Tint a go this autumn. Not only is the packaging beautiful, but the formula is said to leave your complexion glowing.
Whenever a new season starts, I like to clear out and take stock of any new bits I might need. At the moment, I'm in desperate need of a new makeup bag, and this new one from the Charlotte Tilbury x Disney collab is calling my name.
Another thing I want to treat myself to for my new home is a fancy hand soap. This fresh scent is perfect for the bathroom, and the Loewe packaging speaks for itself.
This body cream is one of my favourites for slathering on before bed, and I'll definitely be restocking for autumn.
Once I lose my summer glow, I'll be faking it with this Chanel bronzer. The cream formula is so easy to blend and looks super natural on the skin. So much so, people will be asking you where you've just been on holiday.
I never leave the house without a hand cream, especially in autumn. This Laura Mercier one comes in the most delicious, warming scent of amber, vanilla, brown sugar and sandalwood. Yum.
I like using an SPF moisturiser alongside my SPF for extra sun protection, and I will be treating myself to this new one from Templespa. Yes, we might be going into autumn, but it's still important to keep your skin as safe as possible.
