The Once "Tacky" Color That's Now Celebrity Approved

By now, you should know that brown, aka everyone’s favorite “ugly” color, is having a huge moment for fall. As we’ve seen, celebrities and e-commerce sites have been respectively supporting and stocking the typically looked-over color. Today we have another comeback color to put on your radar: hot pink. The once “tacky” pigment is now celebrity approved thanks to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley—and on the red carpet, at that.

From clothing to accessories, wearing anything hot pink used to be considered a fashion faux pas, or at least anything but chic. But as trends, seasons, and style setters change, so do certain fashion “rules.” That’s why today we’re tossing another fashion rule out the window and removing fuchsia’s cousin from the “tacky” color category. Take a peek at Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s latest red carpet look and you’ll quickly see why we’re okay with wearing hot pink.

Check out the head-to-toe hot-pink outfit RHW wore last night.
