These "Sneaker Boots" Are the Most Realistic Spring Trend

Lauren Eggertsen

The J.W.Anderson S/S 18 collection brought out a lot of surprises, including a refined and simplistic collection that essentially eliminated all the "complexity" and focused on the "sanctuary in clarity," according to the show notes. Among that refinement was one of the most realistic spring trends we have seen grace the runways so far—sneaker boots.

Nearly every model who came down the runway was sporting a pair of shoes that reminded us of sneakers, thanks to the lace-up front and rubber soles but also ankle boots in the material and height. There were even similarities to a pair of espadrilles—does it get much more relaxed than that? Paired with everything from bold stripes on skirts and bustier tops to belted leather jackets, these shoes proved that they are ready to be worn with whatever your heart desires, and that's a shoe trend we can get on board with. Come spring, don't be surprised if these sneaker boots creep their way into your wardrobe and onto your feet because a shoe that does it all is one fashion girls tend to have a hard time resisting.
