If you're new here, you should know that my fellow editors are (unsurprisingly) some of the most stylish people I know, and their opinions and fashion choices hold weight for me. In short, if they recommend it, I’m trying it, and if they're wearing it, I'm raving about it—and this summer is no exception. Right now, accessories like bold, bright bags and flatform sandals are having a moment, but it's summer eyewear that all the WWW editors are currently buzzing about—particularly the new Michael Kors Karlie frames.

Below, editor in chief Kat Collings and fashion editor Eliza Huber have styled the Karlie frame with their outfits, and they make a strong case for this particular style as summer's most elite eyewear option (and my personal desert-island pick). I already knew I needed a new pair of sleek oversize glasses in my life, but their styling choices really sealed the deal. As the UV index reaches extreme highs and my self-control remains at an all-time low, I've found myself on the Sunglass Hut website, where the Karlie frame has my undivided attention. If you're also craving some new frames this summer, just keep scrolling.

Leave it to Eliza to bring that effortless cool-girl style everywhere she goes. "Everyone in NYC dresses well, so you always have to go a step further to stand out," she says. It's working, might I add. To take her looks to the next level, Eliza is focusing on accessories—most importantly, a pair of timeless yet fun sunglasses, which she considers an all-year-round essential.

She opted for a neutral head-to-toe look that allows the baby-pink gradient to be the subtle pop that ties the outfit together. The power of these shades comes from their baby-pink color. This shade was all over the runways in February, so we're going to be seeing it everywhere online and IRL soon. Eliza says that the fashion world has slept on oversize sunglasses for too long, and I couldn't agree more. (Just look at this 'fit.) Far more practical when it comes to eye protection, a bigger frame combines utility and style, making Karlie a top pick for your summer lineup.

"A pair of slightly oversize tortoise sunglasses is literally style 101," says Kat. "I have a smaller face, so I was pleasantly surprised that I could carry off the oversize look. But leave it to Michael Kors to kill it with the shape." Kat has an affinity for pants, but this summer, she's switching it up and going for throw-on dresses that still feel cool and stylish. And she describes the Karlie frames as "the luxe cherry on top" of this easy, breezy ensemble.

Whenever I'm looking for outfit inspo that's feminine and elevated, I always end up scrolling Kat's Instagram grid. She makes even the simplest silhouettes feel interesting, and this look is no different. These classic Karlie frames are just the right amount of oversize to elevate any outfit, and the gold MK hardware adds an effortless touch of luxury. Needless to say, I'm ready to add them to my cart. (Once Kat gives something her fashion seal of approval, there's truly no turning back.)
