Sorry to the Basics in My Closet—These 2023 Updates Might Replace You
Do you ever start shopping and realize that you don't just want one or two items but suddenly crave an entire wardrobe overhaul? Same. On a recent perusing of the new arrivals section on of my favorite sites, I came across so many strong pieces that I started envisioning a whole new wardrobe with these chic updates. More than anything, it was the wardrobe basics that really caught my eye and made me consider replacing the very versions in my own closet to start off 2023 on a strong note.
These aren't just your plain T-shirts or basic leggings. No, the new closet updates I'm about to showcase here each have something special about them that sets them apart from the basics you could find anywhere else. Think trendy relaxed jeans, '90s-style LBDs, and even elevated-looking cargo pants that are taking over my heart (and cart). Yep, I'm crushing big time on these simple but impactful finds and I think you will, too. Scroll down to shop them all.
I've been on the hunt for a tailored duster coat for quite some time now, but this well-priced version might just put an end to that.
I'm done buying cheap tights that rip after a single wear. This brand's indestructible tights are the answer to my prayers.
Since I wear my cream-colored denim maxi on repeat, I know I'll get just as much wear out of this darker wash.
Classic belts are having a moment, and I'm eyeing this investment-worthy pick from emerging brand Déhanche.
There's a reason these stylist-designed basics have such a cult following in Hollywood.
I can't get over the way the model layered both colors of this dress with each other. Genius.
Slinky, minimal, and a little sexy—everything I want in an LBD.
Bracelets aren't a part of my regular jewelry rotation, but bold cuffs like this stand to change that.
I don't normally wear a ton of color, but I'm into the idea of wearing bright sneakers with an otherwise monochrome outfit.
Up next, nine items that make basic leggings look extremely 2023.
