My mom and I have been longtime fans of J.Crew. I have fond memories of perusing the store at my local mall and trying on our favorite pieces. Well, our adoration for the brand is even more powerful these days with the latest collections with Olympia Gayot (pictured above) at the helm of womenswear and kids. It should also be mentioned that while there is a 29-year age difference between us (I’m 34, she’s 63), we both tend to gravitate toward similar pieces that fit within wardrobes primarily made up of elevated basics. Given that age has nothing to do with what you can wear, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
