The One Shoe Style That Works With Any Outfit
At 5’9”, I don’t really have a reason to not wear flats. I certainly don’t need the extra height from heels, and I pretty much live in anything that’s both stylish and comfortable. But up until recently, flats weren’t really my thing. In the past, I wanted to love ballet flats, and I’ve tried more than a few pairs, but the round toes always made me feel stumpy. Not exactly what I was going for. I never really found a pair of flats that worked for me, so I instead made a habit of sticking to ankle boots and block heels.
But my aversion to flats changed recently when I discovered a pair of cool slides. Finished in an embossed crocodile, the Schutz Tae slides not only felt luxe and flattering, but it also didn’t break the bank, ringing in at $170. Far from feeling stumpy, the pointed silhouette provides a lengthening and elongating effect—two things you want in anything you’re wearing. Styled with everything from a statement top and pair of straight-leg jeans to a satin slip dress, the pointed shoes are extremely versatile. Now, they’re nothing short of a wardrobe essential, and they work equally well for the office and casual looks on the weekend.
