4 Easy Vacation Outfits We're Packing for Our Summer Getaways
Sponsor Content Created With Free People
I'm getting ready for a summer full of beach days and weekend getaways, and my fellow Who What Wear staffer, Angelica Zdzienicki, is on the exact same page. As L.A. girls, we know a thing or two about finding pieces to wear both around the city and on spontaneous trips to the beach (aka the perfect vacation outfit). That's why, when we saw the new arrivals from Free People's sub-brand free-est, we knew we had to get our hands on everything. Below, we put together a few of our favorite looks that we can't wait to wear this season, including breezy dresses, free-flowing bottoms, and sunny-day accessories. Whether you're taking a road trip up the coast, enjoying a staycation, or jet-setting to a remote location, you'll want to see everything we recommend packing.
"It feels like summer here in L.A., and while I'm not in an Italian beach town, this outfit makes me feel like I'm walking on cobblestones with a gelato in hand. The black dress, white ballet flats, and perfect sunnies are all I need for my effortless summer vacation outfit whether I'm traveling or not. The low-back detail on the dress is all I needed to see to add it to my cart." — Angelica Zdzienicki, Social Media Strategist
"This linen minidress is the perfect anytime, anywhere dress. Wear it with sneakers for city explorations, sandals for beach moments, or heels for a memorable night out on vacation. For this look, I leaned into a '60s coastal-cowgirl vibe and styled the dress with brown statement boots, a matching bag, and warm sunnies." — Zdzienicki
"This summer, I'm planning a few weekend escapes to get out of the city. Santa Barbara and Laguna Beach are just two places on my hit list, and since these coastal cities are known for their laid-back vibe, I want to put together an outfit that feels easy and effortless. I can't say enough good things about the Lowen Midi Skirt—it's flowy and elegant, and I'll wear it long after my travels. I styled it with a top in a fun hue and accessorized with a belt and these pretty Dr. Scholl's x Free People clogs to add a bohemian vibe." — Raina Mendonça, Associate Fashion Editor
"Since my 9-to-5 outfits revolve around neutral wardrobe staples, I like to spice things up for vacation. I take the opportunity to play with more colors and add fun accessories that break away from my standard gold hoops. When I saw free-est's Liza Drop-Waist Midi, I knew the dress was a no-brainer for all my adventures. The drop-waist silhouette is one of my style trademarks, and the dark denim immediately had me dreaming of sunny days by the coast. I decided to style it with blue sandals to create a monochromatic look, and the on-trend glass-flower choker adds a cute detail." — Mendonça
