11 Life-Changing Fashion Items Every Busy Person Should Own
I give myself approximately 15 minutes to get ready, so if I'm going somewhere at night, I know the importance of a grab-and-go wardrobe. I tend to regularly shop for things that are neutral and versatile and that work with what's already in my closet. That way, when my get-ready time is ridiculously limited (always), I'll have certain items I can reach for in a pinch that I know will work.
I decided to write this story because we're all busy, and getting dressed is one of the many things we have to do in a day. So I'm highlighting 11 very useful fashion items that busy people who want to look stylish every time they leave the house should consider owning. I wear many of these items on a weekly basis and don't know what I'd do without them. So if you're considering doing some shopping anytime soon and want to know what items would make your busy life a little easier, scroll to shop some of my favorite easy fashion items.
Oversize Button-Down
Why it's life-changing: You can wear it on its own or over any tank or tee in your closet.
Baseball Cap
Why it's life-changing: If I'm tired or not having a great hair day, I put on a baseball cap and all is well.
Full Midi Skirt
Why it's life-changing: It's comfortable and pretty, and it's one of the easiest trends to dress up or down.
Elevated Tote Bag
Why it's life-changing: A throw-it-all-in-and-go bag is essential for busy days.
Stretchy Black Pants
Why it's life-changing: Thanks to High Sport, everyone is making stretchy, cropped black pants again. They look polished and go with every type of shoe.
Vest Top
Why it's life-changing: Vest tops are incredibly flattering and elegant but require very little effort (aside from buttoning some buttons).
"Fancy" Sneakers
Why it's life-changing: Sneakers like Sambas and Loewe Flow Runners are as easy as athletic sneakers, but much chicer.
Oversize Blazer
Why it's life-changing: An oversize blazer can double as a jacket and be worn with everything from minidresses to baggy jeans to shorts.
Straight-Leg Jeans
Why it's life-changing: Forget all of the other denim trends and styles—straight-leg jeans are always appropriate and go with every shirt style.
Kitten-Heel Mules
Why it's life-changing: In short, kitten-heel mules magically make every outfit look chicer.
Special Hoop Earrings
Why it's life-changing: Even if you're just wearing a T-shirt and jeans, a pair of gold or silver hoops will elevate them every single time.
