Fashion Week Just Confirmed These Spring Trends—I Already Found Them at NET-A-PORTER
Just when I was losing myself to winter outfit fatigue, fashion week sprang a fountain of style inspiration. Despite the forecast, fashion people wore ensembles that incorporated a sprinkle of spring trends. My discerning eye looked beyond the wool and fur coats to see exactly which spring trends people are endorsing. For apparel, it was heavy on military jackets, plaid prints, and lace trim. The most-worn accessories included tassels, fringe, hats, and hair embellishments. And for footwear, it was flat shoes galore. In true NET-A-PORTER fashion, all these trending items are already available on the retailer's site. Shop 16 of my favorites, which were spotted all over fashion week.
Top Half
As we transition to lightweight outerwear, opt for a military-style jacket or something with fringe. For underneath those layers, try a plaid button-down or polo sweater.
Bottom Half
It's almost time to style spring dresses and skirts. The fashion sets' choices are plaid, lace trim, and sheer materials. For pants, the wheel isn't being reinvented this season, but I would make sure you have a pair of cargo pants ready to go.
Trending Accessories
This category caught me by surprise (in a good way). I'm loving all the fringe, tassels, hats, and hair accessories that give a major boho feel to a look. If you're all set in the apparel department for spring, try one of these accessories.
Flat Footwear
I'm a certified heel avoider, so this spring feels like my time to shine! Ruched loafers, pony-hair flats, and low-profile sneakers were the shoes of choice this fashion week. The styles below are investments, but I'm confident you'd wear them for seasons to come.
