And at the top of my warm-weather must-haves? Linen. Whether I'm heading to lunch with friends, going into the office or off on a weekend getaway, linen trousers are comfortable, easy to style and look incredibly chic. But for us petite women, finding that perfectly fitted pair is not so simple.

Style Notes: COS has always been my go-to destination for high-quality linen. These barrel leg trousers are a classic style, and the navy shade makes a nice alternative to black in summer. In the picture above, I'm wearing them on my waist, but you can pull them down a little if you want a bit more length. They have an elasticated waist, which I love; who wants to be dealing with uncomfortable buttons pressing into their tummy when it's boiling, and there's a spritz of some sort to be drinking?

Style Notes: If you’re looking for a pair of fun linen trousers, these could be a great option. They're so comfortable and super lightweight, not to mention that this particular shade of pink is a forever favourite of mine. But if the pink iteration feels too out there for you, never fear, as it comes in classic brown and white, too.

My only note would be that, as a petite girl myself, we definitely need a kitten heel as these fall slightly on the longer side.

My only note would be that the white pair is slightly more see-through than the other options I tried in the same hue.

Style Notes: If you can't already tell, I’m having a barrel-leg summer this year! However, if you’re more of a pared-back dresser, then this iteration from Whilstes is a much more subtle take on style. Between the flattering fit, timeless colour, and under-£100 price point, there’s so much to love about this pair. Not to mention that you could wear them just as easily to the office as you can for a day out in town.

Style Notes: Nothing says "holiday" quite like blue-and-white stripes, and these Boden trousers are exactly that. What I love most about the brand is that it makes trousers to accommodate every height (petite, regular or long). I got the petite version, and they're the perfect length for me. These trousers also have a button and zip fastening with an elasticated back, so they're super easy and relaxed to wear.
