6 Gucci Trends You'll See on Every Street Style Star

If there’s one brand that’s currently trending, it’s Gucci. It’s always Gucci. Since taking over as the brand’s creative director, Alessandro Michele has done a bang-up job at infusing each collection with the design house’s signature flair without straying too far from what’s been working, and the F/W 16 collection is proof. The nerdy allure that fashion’s elite have grown to love and expect is back, but with a tougher, moodier edge this time around. Whimsical prints and bold color combinations were still in full force, but with this latest collection, the designer took cues from the Renaissance and the days of Studio 54.

The collection’s puffy sleeves echo that aforementioned Renaissance influence, while power suits and bold shoulders nailed the ’70s vibe. As expected, the accessories were just as eye-catching as the rest of the pieces, from the oversize glasses and petite hats to seriously show-stopping purses (particularly the Marmont bag that was carried down the runway in multiple styles). If you take sartorial inspiration from one particular collection for fall, make it this one.
