Why This Hollywood Icon Designed Her Dream Amazon Clothing Line

She's spent 35 years in the spotlight, is an adoring mother, and has built an empire—but, as Drew Barrymore tells InStyle in her newest cover story, she has no interest in slowing down. The Santa Clarita Diet star touches on everything you want to know in the magazine's February issue—including growing up in show business (complete with throwback photos and how she interprets them with fashion today), her life without a romantic relationship, and, when it comes to fashion, why she decided to launch her own line with Amazon Fashion, Dear Drew.

“I kept feeling this burning desire to build an apparel brand for women by women, to explore something romantic,” she told InStyle. “I took it back to my love of tailoring and having been in a costume house my whole life. I have a body type that I tend to cover up,” she continued on in the interview. “So it’s nothing tight, not big and boxy, more of a fluid drape that feels like the ’20s, ’40s, and ’70s. Not utterly casual but efforted in its effortlessness.”
