As the name suggests, these reviews will hone in on one standout beauty formula our editors can't shut up about. This time, I'm highlighting this incredible ultrasonic pore extractor and skincare infuser, Dermaflash's Dermapore+ ($109).

Over the last few years, I operated as a beauty minimalist. I had a three-step skincare routine, forfeited sunscreen (my biggest mistake), and thought that beauty tools were a sham. But 2023 has changed me for the better. My skincare routine has doubled in steps, I get monthly facials, and I fall for way too many skincare ads on social media. While my wallet doesn't approve of this beauty maintenance upgrade, my skin welcomes it. I thrive on compliments from strangers and my skin's undeniable glow, and there aren't many things I wouldn't do to perfect my skin.

Now that I've experienced nano infusion, diamond-tip microdermabrasion, light therapy, and more with positive results, I'm confident that I can identify the perfect tools for my skin. Does this mean I kiss my facial membership goodbye? I definitely don't think it's on my list of things to give up in 2024, but I can walk into them a little bit more prepared. The Dermapore+ Ultrasonic Pore Extractor and Skincare Infuser Set is my first choice when it comes to at-home skincare devices—it has over 300 four-star reviews and comes highly recommended by aestheticians. Keep reading to see if it lives up to the hype.

When I walk out of my facial appointments, I always look and feel super refreshed with buttery-soft skin. The goal is to re-create that feeling at home, and the Dermapore+ didn't disappoint. This tool visibly revived my skin. I used both the "extra" and "infuse" modes and was able to get rid of dullness and instantly brighten. My biggest concerns are congestion in my T-zone and dark spots caused by breakouts and blackheads, and this was the perfect tool to tackle this issue. When using the "extract" mode, you can actually see the dirt being removed right on the silver spatula of the device. While it was gross to look at, it was nice to feel in control of cleaning my pores rather than waiting for my facialist to handle it.

You don't have to be a skincare expert to deeply clean your skin at home, and there's no stronger evidence of that than my experience using the Dermapore+. What I love most about this product is how instant the results are. You can see the glow immediately after use, and the repeated motions boost circulation and ensure that your skin is soaking up your products. I was afraid of aftereffects or irritation, but my skin felt smoother, suppler, and super hydrated.

This set is the ultimate two-in-one. "Extract" mode is for unclogging pores and removing blackheads. According to Dermaflash founder Dara Levy, "When we launched Dermapore+, we increased the ultrasonic speed to 35K Hz, which is the highest speed on the market. This allows the device to glide over your skin smoothly and loosen up dirt, oil, and blackheads for easy removal. The stainless-steel spatula is positively charged, and the gunk in your pores is negatively charged, so when you glide the spatula over your skin, it attracts dirt, oil, and debris and draws it out like a magnet. Think opposites attract."

"Infuse" mode can be used to get the absolute best results from your serums, moisturizers, and masks. "The ultrasonic vibrations and ionic technology help push the product deeper into the skin and enhance penetration. I love using 'infuse' mode with our Active Cocooning Serum and a sheet mask—you get an amazing glow," Levy says. And I can't forget about the pore mist, which is mandatory before using the device. It's the perfect decongesting and soothing mist to prep your skin ahead of an extraction.

Application tips from Levy:

"Make sure your face is thoroughly wet with Prep Mist before you use your Dermapore+. This is the key to getting the best results from your device!"

"When you glide the Dermapore+ spatula over wet skin, the ultrasonic vibrations create a 'water force' that gently pushes out all the dirt, oil, and debris that's trapped in your pores. This is what allows you to extract gunk without any picking, poking, or skin damage."

"The angle and pressure you use are important, too. Start by using one hand to gently hold your skin taut, and then glide the spatula over your skin with the tip angled down at 45°. Use gentle but firm pressure. This is the moment when you'll see all the gunk from your pores build up on the spatula. It's gross but so satisfying!"

"Our goal at Dermaflash is to give everyone healthy, glowing skin—and part of keeping your skin healthy means treating it gently and not causing damage. Unfortunately, some pore-extracting tools and products on the market can actually cause damage. Some manual extractors use sharp, pointed tips or metal loops to force out debris, and others look like tweezers for your pores, with curved tips to dig out gunk. These tools can cause significant scarring if not used properly. As far as pore strips, they often contain alcohol and adhesives that can cause irritation. One of the reasons aestheticians recommend Dermapore+ is that it allows anyone to safely unclog pores between spa facials without damaging their skin. The ultrasonic vibrations and ionic technology gently loosen up and extract pore-clogging debris—there's no need to pick, poke, or squeeze. You're getting more effective extractions thanks to next-gen technology, and you're eliminating the risk of damage. It's your hands-free superhero for clear pores." — Dara Levy, Dermaflash Founder
