The fashion world is officially over matching bridesmaid dresses. Australian designer label By Johnny has just launched its second bridesmaid line, the W Collection, featuring a mismatch of dress styles in a range of pastels, white, and navy. The collection further proves our theory that bridesmaid dresses are WAY cooler than they used to be.
While bridesmaid dresses used to be a one-time-only wear, it's becoming more and more common for girls to re-purpose their dresses for events like spring racing, wedding season (as a guest), or Christmas party season. And why not? When you're dropping upwards of a few hundred dollars on a pretty frock, you'd be hoping to wear it more than once.
With designers like Johnny Schembri of By Johnny acknowledging this, they're making it easier for bridal parties to find on-trend and affordable options that can be worn again and again.
