I Tried On the 4 Coolest Winter Coats on Amazon (and They're All Under $130)

Coat season is upon us, and if you haven’t already nabbed yourself a cozy winter topper, then you’ve come to the right place! Not to sound like a broken record, but a coat is one of the most important items you can buy in winter—protecting you from the elements and serving as your most stylish layer.

Amazon has been a surprising winner in the coat department. As I went down a rabbit hole on their site while shopping for new kitchen appliances and other knick knacks last week I couldn’t help but add a handful of comfy and cool coats to my shopping cart. From a cozy sherpa jacket to a practical puffer, below I wanted to share the four styles that made the cut—along with some other of my absolute favorites. The best part is that they all clock in at under $130. Take a peek below and stay warm in style this winter.

This faux fur coat from Amazon's fashion-forward line, The Drop is seriously soft (my toddler always snuggles into me when I'm wearing it—which is reason enough to throw it on regularly!). Aside from feeling plush, the color looks luxurious and it's considerably warm. This does have an oversize fit so I do recommend sizing down, even if you are wearing it over thick layers. I'm wearing a size XS for reference. It's ideal for making me feel a little more "dressed up". I even wear it over my sweats (and PJ's) a la Carrie Bradshaw.

I was looking for an affordable short puffer coat that's versatile and easy to throw on over tights and dresses and jeans alike. This one fit the bill perfectly. It comes in six cool colors but I gravitated towards the navy one as it looks upscale and pairs well with practically everything in my closet. I was surprised at how nice the quality is for the price. It's super comfortable and warm too.

I love cozy and plush textures, and this sherpa jacket immediately caught my eye. As you can see, this is not a heavy-duty winter coat (see my picks below if you're looking for that)—but it is a lovely, warm layer that you can certainly wear underneath a coat, or over a sweater when the temps aren't freezing. Not only are sherpa coats very on-trend right now, but the color also pairs well with practically everything. I love its slightly longer silhouette which is super flattering.

Ideal for hikes, road trips, and travelling, this lightweight green puffer packs up neatly into a matching carrying bag for practicality and convenience. It's warm, comfortable, nice quality and affordable. It gets rave reviews on Amazon too.
