*Not* a Little Black Dress—Chic Girls Who Wear The Row Will Spend All of Spring In This Easy Alt
There is nothing quite as beautiful and breezy as a simple white t-shirt. Sometimes all you want to wear is a perfect tee. But most of the time you have to wear it with jeans, which aren't particularly known for being breezy. They're hard pants after all. They quite literally stiffen up a look. Thankfully there is such a thing as a t-shirt dress, although we feel everyone might be overlooking it as a summer wardrobe essential.
Ever since Sofia Richie Grainge posted an instagram wearing a white t-shirt dress, the quite luxury girls haven't ever been the same. There's nothing more quietly luxurious than wearing noting but simple white breathable fabric in a way that feels anything but casual. And even though that trend is fading, the appeal of a simple but elevated piece to wear that'll keep you cool in the summer heat will never disappear.
It's also the ideal alternative to a little black dress, which can feel a little too formal come summer and also just be a lot warmer in general. It's easier to style with more colorful summer pieces and is the best canvas for experimenting with more stand-out trends. You can wear wedges, beaded necklaces and fringe with a t-shirt dress and it still wouldn't feel like too much. And that's exactly why we'll be living in one until further notice.
