I Earn Major Compliments Anytime I Wear These 6 Swimsuits

Welcome to Before I Head Out, a monthly series in which fashion editor Anneliese Dominguez rounds up the snaps she's taken of her favorite outfits before heading out the door of her Los Angeles apartment.

If you haven't read the infinite number of articles I've written about my die-hard love for swimsuits, then here's the gist: I'm obsessed with bikinis. My drawers are filled (i.e. overflowing) with them, my friends come to me anytime they need one for a trip, I have the same styles in multiple colors, and so on and so forth. As an L.A.–based editor, I spend a lot of time in the sun. I mean, I specifically moved to the west side of the city so I could be closer to the sand, and I take full advantage of that. This summer, I've been relaxing by the ocean, hitting up the Soho Warehouse pool, and staycationing at chic hotels throughout L.A. all while wearing the best swimsuits. Below, I'm giving you the lowdown on all my favorites, from rosette-detailed bandeau tops to French Rivieria–inspired tankinis. Keep scrolling to shop the bikinis I'm wearing and the cover-ups and accessories I'm styling with them. And prepare for compliments once they arrive in the mail.

Anyone who's spent time with me over the last few weeks has heard about this bikini from Same. I have this bandeau style as well as the triangle-style top, and all I have to say is wow. The rosette trend has been one of my favorites this year, so the fact that I can wear it all summer is music to my ears.

As soon as I opened this Triangl package, I knew this swimsuit would do it for me. The terry cloth is so fun and perfect for my Malibu beach days. I wanted to style the miniskirt cover-up, so I opted for an oversize button-down shirt that I could leave open to let the bikini shine. And of course, I added a raffia-bucket-hat moment.

I would have never have thought of myself as a tankini wearer, but I saw someone on Instagram wearing this one, and I was instantly sold. Not only is it the prettiest pattern (can you say French Riviera?), but it's the perfect top to wear all on its own. I've even worn it with a flowy, white maxi skirt and strappy sandals for a day out with friends nowhere near the water.

Whether it's black with white accents or white with black accents, this combo is on fire right now. It's giving designer, and it's a foolproof way to look chic. This sporty style from Lspace is the perfect example. The (not sheer!) white top is so flattering and can also be worn as a shirt with baggy pants and sneakers for a day of running around. Bonus: This swimsuit was ultra comfortable, which is always a win in my book.

One word: gorgeous. I was blown away when I put on this suit. Can we take a second for the ruching? Thank you. The fabric feels amazing and has a sheen to it that makes it look so luxe. The cream color is giving off "way more expensive than it actually is" vibes. And if you think the front is cool, just wait until you see the back.

Monday Swimwear never disappoints, and this bright-yellow crochet bikini was no exception. The color! The fabric! The matching shrug! (There are additional cover-up pieces if you're so inclined.) As someone with a bigger chest, I always appreciate the cup support that this brand gives. People were coming up to me left and right at the beach and raving about the canary yellow.
