I'm admittedly quite picky when it comes to sweaters. Among my grievances are itchiness, pilling, fabric that pulls, fabric that stretches out, and sweaters that are just trying too hard (you know what I mean). So, ever since L.A.-based Dôen came to be, I've refrained from buying any other sweaters each fall until I see what the brand has to offer—and I've yet to be let down. I purchased one from Dôen's highly covetable collaboration with Reformation last fall and wore it countless times for the remainder of the season. Its cozy sweaters are just the perfect lengths to wear with high-waisted jeans, and they feature the most of-the-moment cuts. That's why in-the-know fashion girls clamor for them and they inevitably sell out multiple times. And good news: The new fall collection just dropped.

This time around, I have my eye on another perfect Dôen sweater (which is available in four perfect fall colors), a cropped mutton-sleeve cable-knit cardigan that can be worn buttoned or open over a pretty, flowy dress. The Bernadette sweater—and much of the fall collection—is currently available for preorder, and I highly suggest doing so. Even though you're still wearing swimsuits, fall will be here before you know it, and this sweater probably won't be in stock for long. Shop it below, along with my other favorite pieces from the collection.
