The gym has gained tons of publicity in recent years, boasting clients like Jamie Chung and Francis Lola. It offers six different kinds of classes for all levels that are guaranteed to make you sweat. While the emphasis is on boxing, one of the unique things about this gym is its community. Crubox is one of the city's newer boxing gyms. It's focused on boxing to the beat and working up a sweat. The workout includes a lot of heavy bag work, ab exercises, and other full-body exercise moves. It's the perfect environment for people who want to learn more about boxing but are afraid of the stereotypical intimidating gyms. If you love classes like SoulCycle or Body by Simone, give this studio a try.
Rumble is the latest boxing gym to join us in L.A. Originally from New York, it has finally made its way to the City of Angels. Rumble pays homage to hip-hop legends in both décor and playlists, which are full of hip-hop remixes that will get you extra pumped during class. The classes consist of 10 rounds of HIIT, switching between bag work and strength training. If you want the best of both worlds (boxing and strength training), this is the spot for you.
Box 'n Burn
Box 'n Burn is one of the city's OG boxing gyms, and it does not disappoint. With two locations, it offers world-class trainers and incredible facilities. While the classes are open to all levels, I must say these classes feel more advanced. They focus on mastering boxing fundamentals and strengthening your body through weight lifting, agility skills, and core work. Whether you are new to the sport or you've been in the ring a time or two, this class will meet all of your needs.
If I'm being 100% honest, this is my favorite place to box in Los Angeles. This gym has two locations, plus one coming to New York, and is owned by Leyon Azubuike, who trains celebrities like Jennifer Aniston. However, this workout isn't for the faint of heart. Azubuike and his staff will push you with state-of-the-art equipment, intense drills, and advanced mitting combinations to make sure that you are always giving your best.
