From the leather finish that makes even the most affordable shoes look seriously expensive to the style that has become quintessential over the last few years, keep scrolling to see our edit of the best autumn boots 2019 has to offer so far.

MOCK-CROC

It may have been a staple look of the '80s, but mock-croc finishes never fail to look glossy. Cropping up on countless boot styles this season, we think the texture looks its best on ankle-grazing block heels.

FLAT CHELSEA

You won't find another style as versatile as Chelsea boots. The flat boot style is your off-duty wardrobe saviour. Luckily they've been embraced by some of our favourite influencers, which is a welcome relief if you're not a huge fan of heels.

KNEE-HIGH

Styled over your leggings or jeans, or worn with a minidress or an oversized jumper, knee-high boots will never fail to elevate your look. Make an impact with a snake-print or tonal (burgundy, navy or evergreen) pair.

WESTERN

Cowboy boots have always been on the style agenda, but now they're easily one of the most in-demand iterations out there. Decidedly more polished than the rugged styles of the past, look for subtle details like contrast stitching to elevate the look.

STILETTO

Less clunky than the typical heels found on boots, stiletto heels will bestow any autumnal outfit with a glamorous finish. Classic black styles will always look chic, but why not broaden your horizons with a red, white or grey pair?

BASIC BLACK

No woman should be without a pair (or five) of black boots. Not only will they blend seamlessly with the opaque tights you'll likely be living in from September onwards, but they also add edge to blue denim and tailoring.
