6 Autumn Trends That Will Make Your Favourite Jeans Look Very Fresh
Ah, jeans. They're the all-round performer, year on year. They were originally created as workwear and now we're making them work hard across multiple trends and occasions. Jeans are an incredibly versatile piece of clothing that make a myriad of wardrobe possibilities come to life—what other item can translate an evening look to daytime so effortlessly, for example? They're also built to last and often look so much better with a bit of wear and tear integrated into their fabric after faithfully seeing you through years of dressing.
One of my favourite ways to wear jeans is with a simple, crisp shirt. It's the perfect outfit for the transitional weather days of autumn, but also looks equally chich when layered with a blazer or trench coat — two timeless styles I'm sure we'll see lots of this season.
And when it comes to shoes, statement styles can still have their moment with jeans, whether you're looking to reveal a sleek point from beneath a long, loose denim hemline, or have a colourful pair of trainers pop against a pair of sleek black straight leg jeans.
So, without further ado, cue my tips on how to get the best wear out of your denim all year round, with a special focus on how to wear them with some of autumn 2024's key trends.

1. A RELAXED SHIRT
Style Notes: Truly, is there anything better than a crisp shirt? In my books, a white Oxford shirt and blue denim are a match made in sartorial heaven. But if you want to broaden your outfit horizons, there are patterns and colours to explore, too—my tip is to stick to the classics, like blue or pinstripe, which will work with so many types of denim in your closet.

With Nothing Underneath knows how to do a white shirt. This cotton and linen blend style is light, crisp and holds its shape well for a great silhouette.
A classic blue Oxford is a wardrobe essential, and will work with all colour denim.
Wear with shorts in summer, and your favourite jeans in the cool months.
2. SOFT TONE BLAZER
Style Notes: I've waxed lyrical plenty about the versatility of a blazer, but this autumn I'm eyeing up soft, pastel tones that can add a bright touch to a grey autumn day. Simply throw over a white t-shirt and you've got an easy yet stylish way to elevate your go-to denim.
Shop the Look:
I will always turn to The Frankie Shop for my minimalist tailored pieces.
3. POINTED-TOE HEELS
Style Notes: Pointed toe heels have continued to dominate all year, and as we move into the colder months, you'll be happy to hear they look especially cool when paired with jeans.

I've spotted so many influencers in these Toteme heels.
4. DOUBLE DENIM
Style Notes: You may have noticed a Seventies-inspired Western influence steadily infilitrating your feed over the past few months. One of the easiest and most classic ways to bring the trend into your autumn wardrobe is to go for double denim. Find a denim shirt or jacket that matches your favourite jeans, add a heeled boot or trainer, and you're set.

5. LEATHER JACKET
Style Notes: It's a true classic, but the leather jacket is back to the top of the trending styles this autumn. Whether you go for a biker aesthetic or something more minimal, my advice is to pick a classic look that feels truly versatile.
Shop the Look:
I'm obsessed with this tan colour—think how great it would look with white denim?
A brown leather jacket is a great option to pair with all shades of blue denim.
6. COLOURFUL TRAINERS
Style Notes: Truth be told, I tend to struggle to introduce colour into my daily wardrobe, especially in autumn. Investing in a pair of colourful trainers is such an easy—and very on-trend—way to brighten up my rotation of jeans and jumper outfits.
Shop the Look:
If autumn won't bring us sunshine, let our footwear do the work.
This green would go well with all colours of denim.
Burgundy is undoubtedly the colour of the season, making these autumn's must-have trainer.
