As fashion editors, we spend our days searching through hundreds, if not thousands, of new styles. With such a plethora of items on offer, it's rare for a piece to really stand out, let alone reach icon status. One brand that knows all about iconic pieces though, is Aspinal of London. 10 years since the launch of its Mayfair handbag, Aspinal of London is celebrating the style's success with a new line of updated designs. And as a handbag connoisseur, I recommend you have a look.

From beautiful bags to treasured purses, each item released by Aspinal of London is a reflection of the brand's key values: a focus on quality, expert craftspersonship and an understated style that holds its own over the years. But the true brilliance comes from the foundations of each piece—be it a great silhouette or sophisticated feature—that allow a bag you bought 10 years ago to feel just as relevant and chic today.

What the brand does so well is evolve. No matter the occasion, time of year or aesthetic, Aspinal has something to suit. True to its creative flair, the brand takes its most treasured styles and reconfigures them with subtle, modern updates, allowing each piece to grow with your wardrobe. And to encourage this creativity, it continues to reconsider aspects of even its most iconic bags, pushing their style potential further to allow you to find the perfect accompaniment to any and every outfit.

In celebration of a decade since the launch of the Mayfair, Aspinal of London has released three new bag styles; the Midi Mayfair 2, the Mayfair Clutch 2 and the Ava Clutch. Keep scrolling to explore each of the styles and shop the various colourways.

THE MIDI MAYFAIR 2

First up, Aspinal introduces a fresh take on the Midi, named the Mayfair 2. It replicates the instantly recognisable silhouette that has been spotted on the arms of everyone from Catherine, Princess of Wales to Gigi Hadid. The top-handle remains the primary way to tote the bag, whilst a detachable chain strap offers a more relaxed to wear. For 2023, the chain has been enlarged to bring a bolder, more defined element to the bag, which is offset by the new, streamlined take on the recognisable Mayfair shield lock.

As we edge closer to party season, Aspinal of London has us covered in the accessories department. Ready to support all of your occasion looks, the Mayfair Clutch 2 has joined the brand's iconic line-up of handbags. A compact silhouette for when you want only the essentials, the Mayfair Clutch 2 can be worn on the shoulder or across the body with the chain, or as a clutch. You'll notice that the classic black iteration introduces black hardware to the Mayfair family, streamlining the bag for a monochromatic finish.

Delivered in four colourways, the Ava can be found in refined black, statement gold and playful ombre. Taking inspiration from a classic clutch, the elongated shape will not only be the chicest way to transport your essentials, but a key feature of your outfits all party season.
