I'll never forget my first time visiting Provence, France. From the breathtaking hillside views in Gordes to the produce markets between cobblestone streets in Aix-en-Provence to the fresh seafood dinners in Marseille (and every lavender field in between), each stop on my trip felt like walking into a fairytale. While each city was quite unique in appearance, they all embodied the same dreamy, relaxing energy. It's no surprise that the locals possess this same energy, which comes to life both through their attitudes and their attire.

The experience confirmed my love for French fashion—it's equally as elegant as it is effortless. And this spring, there's nowhere better to shop the coveted French-girl look than Longchamp. NYC-based photographer, writer, and fashion influencer Chloé Leroux and L.A.-based fashion editor Anneliese Dominguez are already styling the best chic yet low-maintenance looks fit for a day in Provence from this spring collection, featuring the all-new Roseau bag. Leroux grew up in Montreal, the city known as "Little France" because of all its French influences from the language to the restaurants (or should I say bistros) to the architecture. She's also traveled all over France numerous times, so she knows a thing or two about the way French women dress. "When I think of 'French-girl style,' I think of feminine pieces that are worn effortlessly with one statement piece. Something bold but understated," says Leroux.

With this philosophy in mind, she styled this sleek, tailored, and very much spring-ready look. "I love this white suit paired with the black rain boots and bag because I wanted something elegant yet versatile and comfortable," she says of her outfit. Leroux chose to ditch a top altogether and wear the blazer buttoned up to create a "bold yet elegant and sensual look." Handbags with a croc-effect have officially transitioned from trendy to timeless, so I'm not surprised Leroux selected this Roseau shoulder style. It adds that special touch to this outfit, which is fit for a day in Provence but equally suitable for NYC's rainy spring weather.

Dominguez's impression of French women's everyday style mirrors Leroux's sentiments. "I feel like French women don't try as hard when putting together outfits, resulting in their effortless style," she begins. "Everything looks neat, polished, and classic. Trends come and go, but French-girl style hasn't changed much throughout the years. French women stick to timeless pieces they can wear again and again."
