I'm a Proud Outfit Repeater—7 Summer Staples I Wear Over and Over Again

Every fashion person derives joy from a well-put-together look, and I’m no different. On top of that, there’s something special about reaching for pieces or an outfit over and over again that you know will look great every time. Yes, you heard right. I’m a proud outfit repeater, and I want to help you craft a wardrobe with pieces that you will be excited to wear often as well. Don’t worry I want to make the process of building the wardrobe of your dreams as easy as possible, so I took it upon myself to provide you a guide of sorts.
Ahead, I’ve highlighted some of my go-to summer wardrobe staples. Not only that, but I meticulously handpicked beautiful pieces in each category from across the internet for your shopping pleasure. Each of these can be mixed and matched endlessly to create all the summer outfits you love and want to wear as much as possible.
1. Denim Shorts
Denim shorts are a warm weather classic. I almost exclusively wear long denim shorts because I feel like they're a bit more versatile, and they can even have an elevated feel.
2. Little Black Dress
Even in the summer heat you'll be sure to see me wearing a black dress. While this may seem alarming, I'm often opting for sun dresses, breathable fabrics, or shorter styles because of the heat.
3. Oversized Button Down
A button-down is truly one of the most versatile pieces you can own. In the summer, I love using mine as a cover up for the pool or beach. You can also carry it around as a light layer to throw over whatever your wearing if things get a little cold and breezy. Not to mention it's works perfectly as a regular top too.
4. Linen Separates
Linen is a must for the intense summer sun. You really can't have too much linen. I focus on collecting separates that mix and match well like pants, shorts, and short-sleeve button-up tops.
5. Black Sandals
Black sandals are a go-to for most of the year. I opt comfortable for styles that can be worn with everything from jeans to dresses. I find it fun to play around by occasionally pairing mine with sheer socks.
6. Maxi Skirt
I've never been much of a mini skirt person, so I'm often wearing maxi skirts all year long. Over summer I tend to wear breezy, breathable styles or lighter color options.
7. Sneakers
There's not many fashion items I love more than a fun sneaker. Whether you're into a neutral pair or a style crafted with bold coloring, sneakers are a wonderful addition to your wardrobe. Try popular styles from Nike like the Cortez or Killshot or the trendy Adidas SL 72 R's.
