I've Made Fall My Entire Personality—Here's My Curation of Chic Candles, Handwashes, and Home Goods
Seventeen elevated autumn essentials.

I'm unironically and unequivocally obsessed with autumn. Although I'm always sad to see summer go, I look forward to the crisp air and changing leaves. Even though I'm in my 30s, I still associate fall with a back-to-school vibe; I see it as an opportunity to refresh and revamp old routines and aesthetics.
In years past, September was my cue to stock up on sun damage–correcting skincare and moisturizing bodycare. It was also my cue to shop for cold-weather style staples. (Swapping tees and tanks for sweaters and coats is always a celebratory occasion for me.) That's still true, but ever since I moved back to the Midwest, I've brought more focus to "fall-ifying" my space. If you're into astrology, you can blame it on me being a Taurus. If you're not, you can blame it on me being an introvert. Regardless, I have an almost unquenchable need to make my home feel cozy, chic, and of-the-moment.
This year, I curated a collection of chic home goods that make me feel all warm inside, despite the weather being anything but. Ahead, see my 2025 fall edit, featuring all kinds of elevated home goods (and a few beauty and fashion items because I can't help myself).
Stocking your bathroom with a new hand soap is one of the easiest and most effective ways to make your home feel seasonal. While I love apple cider– and pumpkin spice–scented soaps as much as the next person, this year, I'm going for a more elevated and less obvious take on autumn. Aesop's iconic Reverence Aromatique Hand Wash is it. With notes of vetiver root, petitgrain, and bergamot rind, this hand soap smells herbal, sophisticated, and spa-like. It whispers "fall" rather than screams it, and the amber-colored bottle adds some luxurious warmth to my countertop.
Snif, the brand known for its offbeat, cool-girl perfumes, recently released an autumn collection of home goods, which includes the best-selling Half Baked Pumpkin Smash Candle ($34). While it's a stellar choice for crowning coffee tables everywhere, this year, I'm opting for the brand's new fall scent: Half Baked Apple Cider Smash. With notes of sparkling cider, honeycrisp apple, sweet doughnut accord, musk, and Orcanox, it's the candle version of an autumnal orchard.
After a summer spent traveling and dining out, I always come back to homemade meals in the fall. Instead of keeping recipes saved in jumbled digital collections on TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest, I highly suggest putting them all in one place with this chic recipe book. It has a nostalgic heirloom quality that I love.
Remember how I said I stock up on moisturizing bodycare products in the fall? This year, that's Salt & Stone's new body cream, specifically in the scent Santal & Vetiver. Equal parts earthy and woody, the combination of santal, vetiver, and amber is a sensorial delight.
These new Ugg shoes are the It design of the season. (Even Selena Gomez thinks so.) They're topping my fall shopping list.
Beauty editors love Soft Services. The brand, which has a cult internet following, is perhaps best known for its Theraplush Hand Cream. The retinol-infused treatment works to plump, moisturize, and smooth hands overnight. It has a subtle, dreamy scent, too. Think cardamom, violet, and skin musk.
I won't rest until I get this limited-edition candle on my coffee table. It's such a sophisticated take on a classic fall scent. Warm pumpkin seed, creamy sandalwood, and peppery fennel come together to create the most expensive-smelling gourmand fragrance.
This solid moisturizing stone melts on contact with dry skin, delivering softening, smoothing hydration. It contains rose to "soften and restore intimacy," frankincense to "bring balance," and neroli to "calm and ease the mind." All I know is that it makes my skin feel petal-soft and helps me ritualize an often rushed bodycare routine.
I can't talk about fall candles without talking about Maison Margiela's Replica By the Fireplace Scented Candle. If you don't have a massive stone fireplace to sit beside each night, this is the next best thing. Notes like pink pepper, orange flower petals, clove oil, and chestnut accord create a scent that's strikingly similar to roaring hearth.
