J.Crew Thinks You Should Wear a Crop Top to Your Wedding
At this point, we don't need a reminder that J.Crew is just about the best brand out there when it comes to dressing the modern woman in clothes that are as practical and stylish, as they are modern and cool. (Thank you, Jenna Lyons.) But just in case you need it, here's more proof of their cool-girl prowess.
J.Crew senior design director Molly Schaul, who oversees all bridal design for the brand, revealed in a new interview with Martha Stewart Weddings what the label is up to for their summer collection. On the lineup? Crop tops, pants, and shorts.
"The J.Crew girl is all about standing out and being bold and unique, but still feminine and timeless," Schaul says. "Our newest bridal collection was inspired by a beach-themed getaway. With the destination theme, we added really beautiful silhouettes—and expanded our bridal separates. We have delicate lace pants, skirts, and cropped tops coming out this summer."
There you have it: J.Crew wants their brides in cropped tops, skirts, shorts, and pants this summer. Hey, if it's good enough for Solange, it's good enough for us too. ?Would you wear separates on your wedding day? Tell us in the comments below!
