I Test-Drove These Designer New Arrivals—Consider Your Spring Accessories Handled

Forget what the weather app says—spring is here, which means the items in your online shopping carts are accumulating. Let's blame the fashion week runways and the award show red carpet looks that left our mouths agape and our mood boards full. The inspiration never ends when you're a fashion editor, and the temptation to buy is heavy. Lately, I've been drawing inspo from WWW Editor in Chief Kat Collings, who's always up to date on the latest and greatest pieces.
Recently, Kat took Jimmy Choo's Sunny sneakers and Bar Holdall bag for a spin at the brand's Meet Me at the Bar event at Forma Pilates in Los Angeles, and she's been wearing them ever since. The shoes have the classic low-top silhouette that we all know and love, but they're beautifully constructed with sheer, floral lace and soft leather panels. Engineered for comfort and bounce, Sunny offers surprising softness beneath its streamlined profile, making it the perfect shoe to sport from day to night. The Bar Holdall bag masters versatility in the same fashion. It's a spacious, leather-trimmed carryall adorned with pearl accents and metal studs, and according to Kat, it's "a huge upgrade from a gym bag." We rarely find a comfortable sneaker that fits multiple dress codes and a bag that we can wear to both Pilates and dinner, but we've finally met our match. Below, Kat is sharing her looks and styling tips with us.

Kat describes her style as refined, neutral, and polished, which shines through in the Pilates outfit she wore to Jimmy Choo's Meet Me at the Bar event. "I leaned into an off-duty, athleisure feel with leggings and a cropped zip-up," she says. She relied on the sneakers to add visual interest and keep the look elevated. "The studio is known for being ultra-exclusive and a favorite among the fashion set, so I was especially excited to try it out. The space was set up with Jimmy Choo Pilates mats, and after a challenging class, attendees got to enjoy a refreshing matcha drink from a cute cart."
"In L.A., nailing your workout look is a sport in and of itself, and this bag comes through," Kat says. To make activewear feel elevated, Kat's number one styling tip is to "pair your activewear with pieces that add sophistication—a luxe bag or chic sneaker goes a long way." And when in doubt, "stick to a neutral palette to keep things cohesive." The medium-sized Bar Holdall is spacious enough to hold your workout essentials, but it's far from your typical gym bag. Kat says the sprinkling of pearl accents and metal studs "is a playful contrast to the sophisticated toffee suede." Although Kat wore gray cashmere socks to complement her pullover, she'd like to experiment with a pop of color—perhaps a sky blue or baby pink—this spring. But no matter her styling choices, her outfits will be anchored by the Sunny sneaker. She says this shoe "elevates even the most casual outfit, as tested with my leggings and sweatshirt, but also grounds something more dressed up."
Kat's next outfit proves her theory. The trophy jacket and chic pleated skirt are an elevated combo that needs a relaxed counterpoint, and the Sunny sneakers fit the part. "It's about looking polished while being practical, a balance I'm always trying to strike as a new mom." Kat would wear this outfit to a work meeting or any event "that requires looking put-together without trying too hard." The small, butter-yellow Bar Holdall bag adds the perfect spring touch.

As we dive into a new season, the sheer footwear trend isn't losing any steam, and the Sunny sneaker provides the perfect opportunity for some fun personalization. "I love how these sneakers create a playful peekaboo effect," Kat says, "and you can create completely different looks just by swapping out the socks." The Sunny sneaker strikes the ultimate balance between form and function—it's comfortable yet refined. "I've owned sporty sneakers and casual sneakers, but never a sophisticated, feminine sneaker like this one," Kat says. "The Sunny sneaker has changed me!"
