Suede Is Fall's Most Expensive-Looking Trend—35 Items That Won't Cost You More Than $350
What do you associate with luxury during the fall? Most might think of those "exuberant" everyday purchases (e.g., the overpriced pumpkin spice latte), but that's not what comes to mind for fashion people. Frankly, a cup of coffee can't be compared to the extravagant feeling of slipping into a fall staple made from quality materials. Cashmere? It's cozier than any cup of cider. Wool? Without a doubt, it is worth every penny. And then, there's the fall textile that's arguably the bougiest of them all: suede. The sumptuous material has managed to live in the minds of the fashion crowd rent-free because it's far more supple than leather and, frankly, a bit more sophisticated. Furthermore, suede textiles are used in fall collections almost every season—including, more recently, in Chloé, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Miu Miu's F/W 24 runway shows.
In short, suede is evergreen, sweetheart! But that doesn't negate the fact that this trend can be, well, expensive. Genuine suede items not only have high-cost stickers but are tricky to maintain since they stain easily. Therefore, it's logical that most might consider this trend outside their budget, but luckily, I'm here to prove that rationale otherwise. Contrary to popular belief, you can find cheaper suede apparel, shoes, and accessories that are just as chic as their luxury counterparts.
To prove that point, I've curated the best affordable suede and faux-suede items for fall under $350. Trust me when I say that these elegant fall finds are as decadent as any seasonally timed beverage (and they'll last longer, too).
Coach has some of the best suede accessories that also happen to be budget-friendly.
If you're looking for classic suede boots but can't spend that much money, these will do more than suffice.
What's the secret to making fall staples feel more sophisticated? Simply style them with suede slingbacks.
NGL, this suede bag is currently at the top of my wish list for fall.
Warning: Staring at this halter top for too long may cause second-degree burns (because it's so stylish).
Not a fan of red? You can also shop these flats in black and brown suede.
The interwoven suede makes this bag look 10 times more luxurious than its price tag.
Normally, I'm not a fan of suede skirts, but this one changed my stance.
Insider tip: Styling any pair of jeans or trousers with a suede belt can make them look more expensive.
Draw inspiration from Chloé's F/W 24 collection by styling these suede knee-high boots with a ruffled dress.
Since olive green will be one of the season's biggest color trends, there's no better time to invest in a pair of suede knee-high boots in the shade.
As an avid collector of Staud's handbags, I can safely say this suede bag is incredibly well made for the price point.
Just picturing this belt with a pair of wide-leg jeans has me giddy.
Usually, faux-suede trousers cost triple the price of this pair, so you better act fast.
The perfect piece to spice up your work wardrobe.
Loafers are already quite luxurious, but the chocolate brown suede takes this pair to a different level.
I've spent an almost egregious amount of time staring at this belt. It's just so stunning.
If we're being honest, some faux-suede shirts and jackets can look cheap. But that's not the case here.
Everything about this bag is so cool—from the bucket silhouette to the studded black suede.
