I've only recently become a New Yorker, so I'm still in awe of the street style, even after a year. I always assumed women in fur coats and sky-high heels would be the ones catching my eye, but I'm actually finding myself drawn toward those who look naturally chic. While their styles vary, they all have one thing in common: effortlessly cool denim. Spring is officially underway, and what better time to refresh my jean collection than during a seasonal reset? I asked our fashion director, Michaela Bushkin, for help, and she suggested I start at Walmart.

And because practicality is also important, I asked Michaela if these denim looks would truly add versatility to my closet.
