I love summer, and we’re heading into the last few weeks of pool days and weekends away as fall approaches. While I am a huge fan of summer fashion, as a Libra, I love fall and am actually more ready than ever for the seasons to change. As I’m starting to think about my fashion and beauty must-haves for fall, I thought it would be best to enlist the help of another stylish Libra.

Emma Leger is not only one of my personal favorite content creators, but she has also gone from social media to the world of tech by launching her new app called The Scout App. It is designed to help creators find the best possible locations to shoot their content globally. Whether you’re in New York, London, Paris, or Los Angeles, you can find the most Instagrammable spots by simply using her app

As I mentioned before, the Canada-based content creator is one of my favorites, and if you take a look at her Instagram feed, you’ll see why over 600,000 people trust Leger for all things fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. When Leger and I started catching up, she told me of her upcoming travel plans to New York this fall for fashion week as well as a little Parisian getaway she has coming up.

We talked about everything from holy-grail skincare products to Leger’s pro tip when shopping for vintage denim. Keep scrolling to see everything she told me as well as the top 10 items Leger can’t live without for fall.

1. Miu Miu Ballet Flats

"Honestly I never thought this trend would come back. I remember wearing these as a little girl. But I absolutely love it. I think it’s so cute, and I know it’s a little controversial. A lot of people are loving it, and a lot of people are hating on it, but when something’s controversial, you know it’s a good trend. I just know these are gonna be the It shoes for fall. Everyone’s going to be wearing ballet flats—whether it’s Chanel or Miu Miu or Steve Madden or Aldo. It’s going to be really, really cute and really fun to style.”

2. New Balance 550s

"So I love these shoes. I feel like they’re a great staple for fall. I’m a really big staples girl. I love to mix high and low and wear a lot of basics and style them with fun and trendy pieces. I think that the 550s are a great shoe as an alternative to an Air Force 1. I know everyone wears their Air Force 1s, but I do think it’s time we kick them to the curb a little bit this fall. I’m kind of over them. Even though I do throw them on all the time, I think we’ve all got to transition to a bit of a level up, elevate them. I love the colorway that the 550s come in. It gives the sneakers such a vintage look and feels a bit more elevated. I think the 550s are the perfect sneaker trend for people to get into for fall.”

3. Leather Jacket

"This is just an example of a leather jacket that I love. I own it, so I wear it all the time. This is one of my all-time favorite jackets. In general, that golfer, ‘your dad’s bomber jacket’ aesthetic is going to come back in style. It’s already starting to be in style now, but I think for fall this is going to be really big. I don’t mean like a structured bomber jacket like the ones everyone had in 2014, but I’m talking super-thin, lightweight, vintage, what your grandpa or dad would wear when they would play golf. That vintage golf/tennis-club aesthetic is super cute.”

4. Classic Vintage Levi’s

"My followers know I live in my vintage 550s. They’re my go-to. My life hack/thrifting tip is to go to the men’s section when shopping for vintage jeans and get the men’s-fitting Levi’s 550s or any Levi’s in general. They fit so well. They’re so flattering, so fun, and have that vintage look. I love the low-rise look. I know it’s a little controversial, but I personally love the low-rise. Anything baggy, vintage, Levis, or just denim, in general, is just super cute and something I always love for fall.”

5. Vintage Designer Shoulder Bag

"This bag is my favorite bag ever. It was super affordable. I got it from The RealReal for about $1000. For a Louis Vuitton bag nowadays, that’s super affordable if you want to invest in a little designer bag. I always say to go vintage with your little bags, and the shoulder bag is not going anywhere. If anything, the trend is just gonna get bigger and better. Any vintage small shoulder bag is such a moment and makes any outfit super cute. It’s also affordable and sustainable. I love shopping for vintage designer—it’s just the best.”

6. Amazon Bow Headband

"I had to add this in here. It’s such a good Amazon find. I genuinely use this headband. I was actually just using it when I was washing my face this morning. I wear this headband day and night to take off my makeup, to wash my face, and even to just wear if I’m sitting around my house and want to chill out with my hair out of my face. They just make me feel cute and put-together, even if I don’t have makeup on or anything. They come in a pack of six with a bunch of different colors. Everyone needs to own them. Plus, they’re super cute in your bathroom.”

7. Emi Jay Hair Clips

"I am loyal to Emi Jay. I don’t think I own any other hair clips. Over time, I have just sifted through my clips, and anytime I get a new Emi Jay one, I toss out another. So now, I have a giant box of Emi Jay clips. They’re my favorite. They’re the best quality at a great price point. [The brand is] super trendy and [is] always coming out with cute colors. I just love the founder Julianne and the brand as a whole. If you don’t have any Emi Jay clips, they’re amazing and super cute to add a little something to your outfit.”

8. Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand

"I tried this Contour Wand last October, and I haven’t tried any other contour products since. It is so amazing. It blends into your skin beautifully while giving it a nice glow. It also comes in a blush. I’ve recently switched over to the Rare Beauty blush, but if you love [the Contour Wand] and want to try both products, there is a blush. I just find that it gives you the best glow—a natural look, very glowy, very my vibe. It’s almost always sold out, so when I buy it, I usually buy it in bulk or sets of three.”

9. Peace Out Acne Healing Dots

"I’m very passionate about these. My followers know I’ve been through my skincare journey trying to clear my skin over my entire adolescence and into adulthood, but these skincare patches… If you struggle with acne, these are the best of the best. I swear by them. I order them monthly. If you’re on your period and you have a little breakout, this clears them out in like 24 hours. I wear them while I sleep or if I’m having a no-makeup day because you can’t really tell when you put them on. They’re subtle and don’t attract a lot of attention. That’s what’s great about them. If you’re having a no-makeup day, you can just head to the store, and there’s not a huge star or something on your face.”

10. Rose Inc Skin Tint Serum Foundation

"I did a partnership with Rose Inc about half a year ago, and when I tried the products—I’m not joking—I threw out all of my other foundation products and skin tints. I kept a few. I am a big fan of the Dior Backstage Foundation and stay loyal to that foundation as well, but this serum is amazing. I think it is very underrated since a lot of people don’t know about it. But since I did a partnership with them, I got to try their products and learn more about their company, which I’m grateful for because I have influenced all of my friends to try this product. I’m not joking. All of my friends use it now. [It’s a] great underrated product I highly recommend. It just goes so seamlessly into your pores when you put it on. It doesn’t even look like you’re wearing any foundation.”
