I'm a Nordstrom Stylist Turned Editor, and These Are the Denim Brands I Love
Before I became an assistant editor at Who What Wear, I worked as a stylist for Nordstrom. I loved everything about the job. I got to play with clothes all day and help people feel more confident about their personal style. The thing people wanted to know most? What denim brand worked best for me. As an avid jeans wearer, I love a good pair of jeans and have tried almost every brand you can think of.
Not only have I tried several denim brands, I've also recommended them to clients, friends, and now, you. Nordstrom is my absolute go-to retailer when looking for all things denim. It carries all my favorite brands and offers free basic alterations on Nordstrom-purchased clothing, so it's no big deal if I need a quick hem. Three things are most important to me when shopping for jeans: the wash, cut, and fit. I need jeans that are super flattering and not only look luxe but feel luxe as well. Of course, I'd never brag about the great denim brands Nordstrom has to offer without letting you in on my favorites.
Keep scrolling to see the six denim brands I can't get enough of.
Reformation
If you haven't tried Reformation jeans yet, you're missing out. These jeans are known for how flattering and comfortable they are. I reach for these whenever I want a pair of jeans that will immediately boost my confidence. I find they run a little big, so I recommend ordering your regular size.
Levi's
You can never go wrong with a good pair of Levi's jeans. My favorite style is the classic 501. I wear them constantly. I love the classic American style, so I'll probably never stop wearing this brand.
Mother
Mother jeans just scream luxury. As soon as I put them on, I can tell I'm not just throwing on an average pair of jeans. I love how these jeans hug my hips and have multiple cropped hem options for those of us who are a little more petite. These jeans are my guilty pleasure.
Frame
I'm a big fan of Frame denim. I love the brand's luxurious and classic California vibe and how its jeans reflect that. These jeans are worth the investment, trust me.
Agolde
Once you try these jeans, you'll be hooked. I'm a fan of loose Agolde jeans because they have an effortlessly cool look that I adore. These jeans are definitely worth the hype.
DL1961
This brand is a new personal favorite. As soon as I tried them on, I was in love. The fabric is so soft and feels so good against my skin. I can't stop recommending these jeans to everyone, especially the boot-cut styles.
