FYI: The Chicest People I Know Are Using These Exact Tanning Drops to Fake a Holiday Glow

Dior just launched tanning drops, and they're every bit as good as you'd imagine.

As deputy beauty editor at Who What Wear UK, I write lots of guides on the best beauty products. Not only that, but as a fake tan aficionado, I am constantly testing, trying and typing up the best tanning drops, tanning serums, bronzers and more. No matter what the month, I've made it my mission to look as if I've just stepped off a plane all year round.

Although there are plenty of good options on the market, for me to write an entire article on one self-tan product, it's got to be great. Enter the Dior Solar Self-Tanning Drops.

It's no secret that Dior is one of the most luxurious beauty brands out there, so when I heard that tanning drops were about to launch, I knew they'd look chic, but whether the formula would match the aesthetic was a whole other story. When a sample landed on my desk, I tried not to get carried away by the shimmery bottle and gold pipette-style applicator, and instead, told myself I'd put the tanning drops through their paces before deciding if they deserved a place in one of my many tanning roundups.

Two days later, my glow was so good that I cleared my calendar to type up this in-depth review and share the easiest (and chicest) way to trick everyone into thinking you've just been in the French Riviera. I'm pretty good at predicting the next big thing in beauty, and I can almost guarantee that the most stylish of people will be using this exact product throughout the summer.

But why, I hear you ask. First of all, how good do they look? I know, I know, the formula is more important, but let's face it, who doesn't want their bathroom cabinet filled with beautiful things? Secondly, they don't leave your skin feeling super dehydrated. While DHA (the ingredient that actually makes your skin look tan) is typically quite drying, these drops are packed with hyaluronic acid to help counteract the dryness and leave your skin feeling silky soft.

The brand recommends applying the product directly to the skin before your moisturiser; however, I actually mix the two products to get the most radiant result. The great thing is you can basically use these drops however you want to customise your glow.

As you can see, the formula is infused with golden pearlescent pigments, adding a hint of shimmer that makes your complexion look so luminous. The golden undertones also ensure a natural-looking tan that lasts for a good few days before needing to be reapplied. If you don't like any shimmer on your skin, then you've been warned, as these are definitely on the more iridescent side, but I'm personally a big fan.

All in all, they look chic, are easy to use and actually work. Yep, Dior has knocked it out of the park with this one. Prepare to see this product all over social media.
