Yes, I Can Confirm This Parisian Perfume Is 100% Worth the Hype
As a beauty editor, I've been lucky to try a lot of perfumes. Currently, I have about 60 in my collection, but there is one that brings me the most compliments whenever I wear it, and that's Parfums De Marly Delina perfume. It launched back in 2017, but interest in Delina has never been higher. There are 60,000 searches for Delina perfume on TikTok each month (so no surprise that it's gone TikTok-viral) and nearly 15,000 searches on Google. Stats aside, even Snoop Dogg has proclaimed that he always has a bottle of the French perfume in his bag in the biggest fragrance plot twist of 2024. So, what does the Internet-famous Delina perfume smell like? Scroll ahead for our full review of the Parfums De Marly scent.
Parfums De Marly Delina Perfume Review
Key notes: Rhubarb, lychee, lily-of-the-valley, bergamot essence, Damascena rose, peony, vanilla, cashmeran, musk, vetiver
Pros: Fruity-floral fragrance, pretty and feminine scent, long-lasting projection, gets wearers compliments
Cons: Expensive
Customer Review: "Try it and you will never want to spray any other scent on your body. It is sweet but in a balanced way and nothing too heady... but it will have people doing double-takes to ask you what you have on. It gets the attention when you walk into a room—an utter people magnet."
What Does Delina Smell Like?
Delina is a fruity floral fragrance, and what makes this scent particularly special is the projection. A couple of spritzes cloaks you in a veil of rose, rhubarb, lychee and peony, and even hours after spraying I still get compliments from others as it dries down into a subtle vanilla, musk and cashmeeran base with a hint of grounding vetiver.
To me, this scent smells predominately of rose and lychee with a powdery note. When I wear it, it transports me to a 18th century powder room filled with rose bouquets and fluffy powder puffs sending clouds of scented powder into the air—I feel like Marie Antoinette would have approved of the scent and the pretty bottle. When I caught up with celebrity manicurist Iram Shelton (who often uses Delina-scented body care in her manicures) over a manicure recently, she said this scent makes her feel "like a princess". And I have to agree.
That's not to say that this smells dated, however. Instead, it's feminine, modern and balanced. It's not overly sweet or floral—it's a crowd-pleaser that is bound to have everyone asking what you're wearing.
How Long-Lasting Is Delina?
Fruity-floral fragrances don't have the biggest reputation for being long-lasting, but this one has impressive staying power. After spritzing Delina, I can smell this on my skin for hours without even trying to smell it. And even six hours after application, I've often had a compliment on my fragrance from colleagues in the office. There's no denying that this perfume has serious staying power and will get you noticed. In fact, out of the numerous perfumes I wear on rotation, this one gets noticed and complimented on the most, from friends to colleagues and strangers, it's actually the one scent my boyfriend notices the most.
Is Delina Worth it?
If you're looking for a luxury fruity-floral fragrance, I would highly recommend you try Delina. While expensive, this long-lasting perfume is loved by many and often gets wearers compliments. And because the lasting power is strong, you won't need to apply a top-up throughout the day. Even if it didn't get me admiration that it does, I would still wear it as it's such a beautiful perfume. It's a traditionally feminine fragrance that's still suitable to wear to the office as it is for date night. Just brace yourself for people asking you what you're wearing. If you want something a little different, there are two additional flanker versions of Delina to try too. Scroll ahead to shop the best Parfums De Marly perfumes I also love.

Key notes: Bergamot, mandarin, white peach, orange flower, nympheal, vetiver, akigalawood, ambrofix, musk
Coming in at a close second as my most-complimented perfume is Parfum De Marly Valaya. This one is a take on the most luxurious white florals—a must-try if you like Delina, but want something a little more delicate and airy.
Customer Review: "Exquisite Perfume. This perfume is just divine, its just so beautiful. It lasts at least 8 hours + and is a compliment magnet. Valaya is unique from all the other fragrances in this range and is truly stunning!"
Key notes: Orange blossom, bergamot, cinnamon, bourbon vanilla, elemi, guaiacwood, ambrox, praline, musk
This is one of Parfums De Marly's more masculine fragrances, but I wear it all the time in autumn and winter. It's the most expensive-smelling vanilla I've ever tried. It's warming, sweet, musky and cosy, and lingers for hours on end on my knitwear in the colder months. I would highly recommend if you want a sophisticated take on vanilla.
Customer Review: "I am a big Fan of Parfum de Marly and this one is great. It smells amazing and sillage is perfect. Good choice for fall/winter season."
