I'm a Beauty Editor—17 Internet-Loved Items I'm Scooping Up During Ulta's Spring Sale
This is a PSA to every beauty-obsessed person out there: Ulta is currently holding its Spring Haul Sale. Hundreds of beauty products are discounted across top brands, so this is the perfect opportunity to refresh and revamp your beauty routines. (As a beauty editor myself, I'm only interested in spring cleaning when it applies to my skincare, makeup, and haircare routines.)
Here's the thing, though: There are only two days left to shop the sale. Yep, the Spring Haul event ends on April 20. You know what that means, right? You have to get going. But that doesn't mean you should start desperately scrolling through hundreds of products to pick out the ones that count. Nope. I suggest doing something easier. Keep scrolling to see my edit of the 17 internet-loved items worth snagging! No worries—you can thank me later.
And the award for most fun sunscreen goes to… this one from '80s-inspired skincare brand, Vacation. I've seen this all over Instagram and TikTok, and I can no longer resist snatching one up for myself. This mousse-like SPF dispenses from a whipped cream-inspired can, and the airy, foamy formula melts into the skin to protect it from UVA and UVB rays. It's a beach-bag necessity.
Clinique's Black Honey lipstick has been around since the early '70s, but lately, it's had a renaissance thanks to TikTok. It might look dark and vampy in the tube, but once applied, it gives the lips a soft berry hue. It's oh-so-flattering.
If you love watching YouTube vlogs as much as I do, you've likely seen this styling tool. While I love my Dyson Airwrap, I've heard some people say this is just as good (if not better depending on your hair type, styling goals, and budget). I can't resist hitting "add to cart" when it's a full $60 less than its original price.
I religiously apply vitamin C every morning before moisturizer and SPF, but in the summer, I'm even more intense about it. That's because I struggle with dark spots and hyperpigmentation, and the last thing I want is more sun damage. The combo of vitamin C and SPF is recommended by just about every single dermatologist for ultimate skin protection. So, yeah, this 10% formula is a no-brainer.
Another product I've seen on TikTok, this mascara creates the longest, flutteriest lashes. The thin, flexible wand grabs even the tiniest lashes for a fanned-out look.
This brand, which is owned by Kourtney Kardashian, has created quite a stir on social media. While it offers a multitude of supplements for things like energy and digestion support, I've heard from multiple people that these sleep gummies are the real deal. One of my friends who struggles with occasional insomnia said, and I quote, "These knock me out." Enough said.
I love this product, so I'm taking the Ulta Spring Haul Sale as an opportunity to restock. I apply it at night, either as a moisturizer or an overnight mask. When I wake up in the morning, my skin is calmer, plumper, and less red than it was the night before. Don't believe me? See for yourself.
Apple cider vinegar is all the rage not only for gut health but also for scalp and hair health. This iconic rinse promises to clean and remove impurities without stripping hair color or natural oils. Oh, and it seals the hair cuticle to boost smoothness and shine. I consider it to be the perfect scalp and hair detox.
As I said before, I struggle with dark spots and hyperpigmentation. So, along with vitamin C, I'll be adding this serum to my skincare lineup. I've seen multiple influencers recommend it, so I'm dying to get my hands on it. It uses 1% alpha arbutin with chlorophyll, licorice root, and panthenol to target discoloration, post-blemish marks, and UV damage.
If you've used the iconic Baby Foot Peel before, you know how disgustingly satisfying it is. Put these serum-soaked booties on, wait an hour, and within a few days, you'll see the dead skin peel off your feet. Like I said, it's disgustingly satisfying. I'm snagging one for sandal-ready feet.
What do I have in common with Sofia Richie-Grainge? Not much other than that we both love this bronzer. Even though it's readily available at the drugstore, its silky powder formulation blends out quickly and easily. It never fails to give my skin a sun-kissed glow. Grab one for a discount while you still can.
Don't sleep on Truly Beauty products. This after-shave cream is one of my favorite products from the brand. It smells delectable, makes my skin glow like (you guessed it) a glazed donut, and the good-for-skin ingredients keep razor burn at bay.
I love these eye paints. They're so fun to experiment with, dry down quickly, and don't budge once they're on. There are so many colors to collect, but a good starting point is this soft brown shade with a Shakespearean name: Capulets.
If you hate thick, greasy sunscreens (who doesn't?), this is made for you. The serum-like texture sinks into the skin for a dewy look. It protects the skin from the sun, blue light, and other environmental aggressors. It even contains probiotics to support the skin and improve moisture retention.
Summer is coming, and this year, we're only taking part in safe, sunless tanning. This foam self-tanner is one of my personal favorites. Thanks to a deep guide color, I can easily see any spots or streaks before it dries down. Once the color develops, it's smooth, even, and natural-looking. I'm not kidding when I say this has been my go-to for years.
Speaking of summer skin prep, I made sure to add this exfoliating body cream to my Ulta cart. It's infused with salicylic acid to smooth rough and bumpy skin (like the kind I get from keratosis pilaris on the back of my arms and legs). It's effective and lasts a long time, which is why I'm restocking it during this sale.
This do-it-all styling product is the latest addition to my hair routine. First and foremost, it's a heat protectant. It protects hair against heat up to 450°F. But it doesn't stop there: It also cuts down on drying time and boosts shine for a glossy finish.
