We're 99% Sure We Know Taylor Swift's Date-Proof Red Lipstick
There's a school of thought that I simply can't subscribe to: the idea that you should never wear red lipstick on a date. As a red-lipstick devotee, I will wear red lipstick for any situation, including and not limited to a date. I do see the predicament, however—red lipstick is a bold choice, and it may not be ideal to end up with it smeared all over your (or your date's) face.
At least one person agrees with me—Taylor Swift. In October, Swift and rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce stepped out for date night in New York City. For their Saturday-night date, Swift went with her signature red lipstick, which she also sported on today's Time "Person of the Year" cover shoot. Swift constantly proves that she can wear red lipstick in any and all situations.
Swift isn't just wearing any old red lipstick, though. It's long been known that her favorite is Pat McGrath's Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in the shade Elson 4. Elson 4 is a blue-toned red that suits every skin tone and makes your teeth look whiter thanks to the blue hues. It's also one of the best budge-proof liquid lipsticks on the market. It feels like a second skin, doesn't dry out lips, and lasts for up to 12 hours without smudging or transferring.
Swift is such a fan of the brand that Pat McGrath even has a "Taylor-Made" kit full of the singer's essentials. The kit is sold-out, but keep reading for every Pat McGrath product Swift has been known to wear—both on dates and on tour.

Swift's red lipliner is sold out, but this one is almost an exact match.
If there's anything Swift is known for besides red lipstick, it's a cat eye.
