4 Fashion People Made These Under-$45 Pieces Look Triple the Price

Sponsor Content Created With Walmart

It's only the beginning of June, and my summer spending habits are already starting to hurt my wallet. Between splurging on trips and buying clothes for said trips, let's just say I need to reel it in. To help me find pieces that will keep me looking stylish but won't cost me my next paycheck, I enlisted the help of four fellow fashion people who I've seen tag affordable brands on the 'gram. They're basically pros at taking pieces with lower price tags and putting them together to make a look that feels triple the cost, and they did just that with Scoop's latest collection of ultra-cute summer pieces. Want the details? Keep scrolling to see all the on-trend gems they're wearing from the brand, from polka dot two-piece sets to colorful maxi dresses. Your bank account will thank you.

Please introduce yourself!

My name is Victoria Casalino, and I'm a fashion lifestyle influencer. I recently moved to Hoboken, New Jersey, just a PATH ride away from NYC.

I styled this look a bit more casually by taking the blouse and turning it into a crop top to give it a laid-back, summery vibe. (I love something that can be worn in multiple ways.) And the white strappy sandals were the perfect addition to the outfit. I think this set is perfect for the summertime. It's very effortless, and you'd never know that it's affordable.

What's your go-to tip for making an affordable outfit look elevated?

Accessorizing properly. For example, if you're going to wear white jeans and a black top, you should include a statement piece. This could be a bold shoe, a purse, or jewelry. You don't need designer clothes to have an elevated outfit.

What's one trend you're excited about this summer?

Wearing two-piece sets (like this one from Scoop). I think two-piece sets are going to be so in, and they're also so easy.

I absolutely love this black linen midi dress. Dresses like this one are so easy to throw on in the summer and still look so cute with minimal effort. I'm so into black dresses for summer this year, and I added my own touch with a fun hair scarf and some neutral sandals.

What's your go-to tip for making an affordable outfit look elevated?

Having great staple pieces as a foundation for an outfit and then accessorizing on top of that. I love adding fun accessories to a simple outfit.

What's one trend you're excited about this summer?

This is not so much a trend, but more of a summer staple: linen! I love linen in the summer, especially linen dresses.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm in the office five days a week, and when going out after work, I don't have time to go home to change. This dress was perfect because it's versatile. I can wear this with a blazer in the office and then take it off after work for date night or a girlfriend meet-up. This dress bares my shoulders, which I love to show off. I like to put a little shimmer on to perfectly catch the light.

What's your go-to tip for making an affordable outfit look elevated?

The key is to prepare and dress for your body type. I feel like my best outfits take my body shape into consideration (over trends), and my looks are planned. If I'm pulling out clothes 20 minutes before I leave the house, there's a 50% chance I'm a wrinkled mess. Plus, I swear by blazers. You can put a blazer over a sweatsuit or loungewear and make it look expensive.

What's one trend you're excited about this summer?

Definitely color. I love to add pops of color to my daily looks to brighten things up.

This Scoop dress is a perfect choice for summer nights in the city. I loved the classic look and tailored style. Beyond the affordability factor, I was mostly drawn to the timeless print and classic style. It's lightweight and breezy, which makes for a great item to beat the city heat in the summer.

What's your go-to tip for making an affordable outfit look elevated?

Make sure things fit well. Tailoring to your body type is so important, as well as using the right accessories.

What's one trend you're excited about this summer?

I'm looking forward to embracing more sophisticated silhouettes and classic prints this season. The black and white polka-dot dress I'm wearing will remain a classic staple in my summer wardrobe.
