Guess Which Mean Girl Just Agreed to a Sequel?

Even though it's been twelve fateful years since Mean Girls first hit theaters, we'll never tire of the cult flick and its brilliant one-liners. Regina George—er, Rachel McAdams—apparently shares in our eternal obsession with the movie too. Sitting down with E! News, McAdams confessed would be up for being involved in the Mean Girls musical that Tina Fey is currently producing.

"Sure," McAdams responded when asked about being part of the musical. "I mean, I loved that movie. I love Tina Fey. I love the girls. I mean, to get to kind of have a reunion would be … we got to have a reunion at a photo shoot a couple of years ago and it was over like that and it wasn't enough. I was back in it."

Host Marc Malkin asked McAdams if Regina would have kids by now. "Yeah, Regina's probably had a few, right?" she responded. It's safe to say we'll be crossing our fingers for an epic Mean Girls reunion to see how motherhood would pan out for her.

Erin Fitzpatrick
Senior News Editor

Erin got her start as a Who What Wear intern over 12 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of senior news editor (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible. Outside of work, she loves tennis, classic rock, traveling, and smothering her dog with affection.
