From Polished Tailoring to Light Linens, I Just Styled 4 Sleek Outfits for All Spring/Summer Occasions
The Reiss spring/summer 2026 collection delivers confident silhouettes and vivid colours that shine in every setting. Shopping editor Florrie Alexander earmarked her favourites straight away.
Spring is my favourite season to dress for. The light layers, tactile textures and fresh infusions of colour bring a joyful relief after the long winter months. Right now, the wardrobe switchover is upon us as we pack away our insulating layers, ready to be replaced by airy fabrics, sunny shades and as always, a heavy dose of sophistication. One collection in particular is ready to guide us seamlessly through, and already I've been relying on Reiss's spring/summer 2026 lineup to ensure I have the chicest spring yet.
Ahead of the new season really kicking in, I took a moment to hone in on what underpins my personal style. Tailoring is a cornerstone of my wardrobe, bringing instant polish through perfectly draped trousers and sharp pleats on shorts to take on elevated office looks or bring a touch of refinement to my off-duty attire. Alongside, silhouettes often guide my style, whether in expertly proportioned barrel-leg jeans or the flowing ease of a halterneck top. Finally, my spring looks reflect the colourful infusion of the season, with sunny yellows, vibrant reds and soft greens complementing my staple neutrals.
As a shopping editor, I'm often asked how to spot the most elevated pieces, and for me, it's all about the finer details. Reiss exemplifies this through considered design details like an extra button hole to keep rolled-up sleeves in place, the striking stand collar on a pretty blouse or sweet buckle closures on a jumpsuit to bring edge to a minimalist form. It's this detailed eye that shows the craftspersonship of the brand, and it can be found in every single piece.
Reiss's spring wares distil the ease of the season. To mark the shift in weather, our most trusted capsule-wardrobe styles are renewed, with the reintroduction of airy linen, breezy cotton and lightweight denim, each primed to enrich our looks. I decided to put together four spring-ready outfits from Reiss's new collection to spotlight the ease, polish and craftspersonship that the brand is known for.

Style Notes: I began with an outfit blueprint which feels so authentic to my personal style: a great shirt and smart trousers. Shirts are a staple in my wardrobe all year round, and Reiss renews the classic style with a slightly cropped length and soft pistachio shade. The tonal buttons, as well as those extra button holes, which keep rolled sleeves in place, are markers of the attention to detail seen through the collection. Pairing seamlessly with everything from flowing skirts to easy shorts, I opted for my most-worn wardrobe piece: a pair of wide-leg linen trousers.
I've always believed that accessories bring a look together, and this highly refined and practical bucket bag has quickly become a firm feature of my spring looks. When I'm on the go, flat shoes are a must, and I put this look together for weekend strolls and coffee dates. My last step is layering on precise jewellery, and the sculptural necklace and bangle inject this timeless look with modernity.

Style Notes: I've relied upon a jeans-and-a-nice-top formula for years because it simply never fails, especially when bringing together contemporary jeans and a standout top. The scarf-neck top radiates joy in a bold red shade, and the silhouette remains striking when you allow it to billow or tuck it loosely into jeans. The scarf detail at the back ensures that this look is impactful from all angles; a thoughtful detail that shows how Reiss designs for the wearer.
Whilst I'd gladly pair this look with ballet flats for a sun-clad day out, I swapped in a pair of lizard-effect kitten heels to lean into the tactile refinement throughout this collection. Finally, I'm a handbag-obsessed editor, and the latest piece sitting pride of place in my collection is this beaded-handle pouch. Just like the heels, the raffia-effect material leans into the returning textures of the season, with a sleek beaded handle to bring another pop of colour and a unique twist.

Style Notes: As soon as I saw the collection, I was drawn to this joyful yellow jumpsuit. My spring calendar is steadily filling up with garden parties, events and other celebrations that call for a standout piece. To me, this embodies warm-weather dressing, crafted from breathable 100% linen. Not only is the vibrant shade an instant draw, but so too is the refined silhouette. The fitted bodice with wide flowing trousers is both elegant and impactful, and if you thought the front was eye-catching, just wait until you see the back.
The halter neckline makes a feature of the open back in itself, with buckled straps bringing a touch of toughness. As I've mentioned, the finer details are always considered by Reiss, with polished hardware finishing the halterneck ties and buckle closures. To play into the gold shades, I've added the beaded shoulder bag, which, along with the lizard-effect kitten heels, brings a tactile finish to this look. The jumpsuit comes with a tonal fabric belt, but to switch up the accessories, I swapped in a bold, elongated alternative.

Style Notes: Every spring, I turn to pretty blouses, and the first thing to note here is the band collar, which instantly updates the style for the modern day. The blouse shows off Reiss’ expertise in intricacy with bold blouson sleeves, neat pintuck pleats down the front and intricate floral embroidery.
This versatile blouse could easily feature in a host of outfits, whether paired with barrel-leg jeans or smart linen-blend trousers, but as the sun is shining, it's time to reintroduce shorts back into our wardrobes. The discreet elasticated waistline adds comfort to this smart pair, with a classic design which can be worn more casually thanks to the lightly puckered fabric. Year after year, these shorts will withstand changing trends to become a reliable capsule-wardrobe hero. I've mentioned my infatuation with accessories, and I added in another exquisite Reiss handbag; this time, a sleek half-moon raffia style. The textured effect nods to the warmer months with a pared-back shade to mix and match seamlessly throughout your looks.
