Watching something go viral so quickly in real time is always amusing—especially when it’s just a simple black sweater. The other day, I was scrolling through TikTok when a video of Devon Lee Carlson popped up on my For You page. I liked the shape and weight of the sweater she was wearing, so I absentmindedly checked the comments to see if anyone had ID’d it. Someone had asked where it was from, and I would’ve never guessed her response: Banana Republic.
Since then, I’ve seen people making videos going to try it on for themselves.
